Well.....since you and Ethan have the same mischevious grin..... :lmao: :rotfl2: :hyper: ::yes:: .....need I say more?!? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Funny .... Ethan looks like me but has more of Paul's personality and Josh is the spitting image of Paul but is more like me in personality :p :joker: :upsidedow :rotfl: :hyper:

Have you noticed the DIS clock is now running about 40 mins late ?? It seems to be getting worse :scratchin :scratchin

I thought I was going crazy that it's getting slower and slower all the time. Thanks for confirming I'm not going totally bonkers......yet. :joker: :crazy2:

Oh Izzi,

How beautiful and how true. It wasn't until my children were on their own that they began to realize what we had done for them quietly all those years. Tom & I get the most beautiful Mother's/Father's day and Birthday cards from them, saying things that touch us so deeply. I guess they have to reach adulthood to realize that they don't know it all. Didn't we?

Very, very true Maryann. At least the boys still crawl onto my lap or come and give me a huge cuddle and say, with feeling how much they love me. It kind of makes it all worthwhile and keeps me going for a bit   (at least until the next argument !!!) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Or until they need to ask you for something really big. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Kids....gotta love 'em or we'd have to kill 'em. ::yes::

Izzi, that was really beautiful. I wish I could print it up and have someone in my house read it. Maybe she'd think twice before she said some of the hateful and and hurting things she is and has said recently. It's just been a really, really diffcult period at home recently.

Just saw this on another thread and though it sooooooo applied to an awful lot uf us and I do mean the Fathers as well as the Mothers

Loved it:thumbsup2
While it made me cry a bit it also made me feel better that I'm not alone:goodvibes
I copied it into an email for my Mom and Sis.

Are we sharing the same 14yo?!?

My DS is especially skillful at "pushing the buttons" when he is mad. Seems like he manages to figure out what will hurt my feelings the most and launch it at me when he is mad:sad2:

I don't think my DH and I really appreciated our parents until we had our DS. I'm hoping my kids are "afflicted" in the same way some day:rolleyes:

Sorry you're crook again Andrew, I know about doing you're back in, it's somethink I suffer from, so I do "feel" for you. Just rest and keep taking the pills ::yes:: ::yes::

Ouch Andrew:crazy2:
Those hurt:sad2:
My Mom had a herniated disc in her back last year. It was awful.
Rest is soooo important, try to be patient:grouphug:

If it doesn't start to heal up soon, there are resources like epidural shots for the pain or cortisone shots for the inflammation.

:grouphug: :grouphug:

:thumbsup2 I am a little high on the painkillers, funny my doctors called me to say could I go back to collect a pescription  after taking 45 mins to get there -usual 5 mins, The disc might have popped out and then back in.

It does this and every so often they correct it maybe close the forum to do it

Those dammed hormones !!! Funny thing my lovely boy Joshua left home this evening and his doppleganger Hormone Harry moved in

Just listening to DISradio and they are playing the music from my all time bestest ride Soarin' OMG I want to go there soooooooooooooooo bad

:bored: :bored: :bored: :bored: :bored: Anyone else obsessed with the show "Housewives of Orange County?"
My husband works in Orange County and said he wouldn't watch it because it is too true. Even the kids out there look down their nose at people outside the "OC".:snooty:

 Not my week, done my back, got up today, and after my shower, I went to get my socks, and it went. Have been to the Doc's maybe a disc went, but popped back in, told to rest it, cant type too well just on my right hand one finger at a time-left handed.:scared:
It has been a rough week for you. Take care of yourself, rest as much as you can and take those drugs!!

THE INVISIBLE MOTHER

It all began to make sense, the blank stares, the lack of response, the way one of the kids will walk into the room while I'm on the phone and ask to be taken to the store.
'

As mothers, we are building great cathedrals. We cannot be seen if we're doing it right. And one day, it is very possible that the world will marvel, not only at what we have built, but at the beauty that has been added to the world by the sacrifices of invisible women.
Great Job, MOM !

I loved this Izzie, thank you for sharing it. :flower3:
:drinking1 A toast to all of us mothers who are building or have built cathedrals, not matter how rickety the walls!!

I can't believe it! I took a shower, used deodorant, why or why do people always leave when I get here. I am really starting to get a complex. Before long I will be talking to myself. Fine, leave me alone, see if I care.....:sad1:
