So you all are celebrities too! What cruise where you on in 03/07? We did the 03/03/07 Eastern.

We did a 3 day and left on 3/8. I only know the exact date since you posted the date of your 3 day.
So I guess we are celebrities. Several people we know said they saw 'our' commercial. When we checked in we had to sign a general release form since they said they would be doing filming around the ship but didn't say what for. When we got in our cabin, there was a pic of Tom B. and a letter saying they would be doing segments for the show. DD also got a AFV t-shirt as they were passing them out to the kids by the pool on Nassau day in the afternoon.

How interesting! What do you do there?
I'm a patent examiner. I examine "biotech" patents. Anything from cancer treatment to wrinkle cream:rotfl: You wouldn't believe some of the things people try to patent. Those smuckers pb&j sandwiches:rolleyes:

:rotfl:
When we go to the fair, I always have to go visit the cows.
True confessions here... one of the nicknames I sometimes have from my sister is Cow Junie! (my middle name is June)
See I'm more of a dog and cat person:rolleyes1

Here's a pic of DD with Tom Bergeron of AFV (America's Funniest Videos) on our DCL cruise 3/2007. They were taping segments of the show onboard. The 3 of us ended up on one of the promo commercials they used for a couple of weeks leading up to the airing of the 2 part show. We had no clue they were airing the commercial and one of DD's friends asked why she was on a commercial for AFV and then she had to confess she was gone on a cruise one weekend and they taped it then.
Tom Bergeron was such a nice guy and didn't mind that we asked for a couple of pics with him while he was getting his lunch. He really blended in with the crowds when he wasn't working. We just happened to be sitting near the drink station when he walked by and just walked up to him and asked him for the pics. No one else bothered him.
Very cool:thumbsup2
I like to hear the good stories about celebrities too:goodvibes

He is going to have to hit the presidency running, as things like Bank of America and Citicorp show.

I'm afraid to watch:sad2:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH

Wonder if there are any scrapbook stickers for Estonia:confused3 ;)

You know, the class I went to was from 6:30-9:00 and the time flew by. No one finished their pages.

Do you get a lot done in a 6 hour crop or is mostly socializing ?
I'm just starting out and learning and have never been to a crop yet.

We work (or not work) on our own things at a crop night and yes it is mostly socializing.:goodvibes Last night I was working on recipe cards. I am in a monhly swap where we make a recipe to share and then give each person a scrapped 4 x 6 recipe card. This month is crock pot recipes and I am making cincinnati chili.

How cool, I love tom Bergeron.

Okay, so I finally caught up on all of the pages I missed last night and this morning. And here I am all alone. And I noticed they changed the smilies and WHERE IS MY WOOHOO GUY? :scratchin

Isn't that pilot just amazing, but it got me to thinking I kow that this is not the first time that birds have caused engine failure, why is it not possible to invent/create something that can cover the engine to stop birds being sucked in without causing engine overheating etc ?? :confused3

With something this dangerous, it seems like it should be mandantory.:sad2:

Yep I've already thought about it. As we're taking the car I can take a laptop and I've got wireless 3G broadband so I do "live" reports with photos :goodvibes :goodvibes
It actually becomes a treasured family memory........it's worth doing!:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Absolutely:cool1:

That pic is from a kit at a store I found. It is what mine should like when I'm finished:rolleyes: I'm having trouble finding time to do mine or I'd love to make some for everyone;)
The store offers these classes where their design team comes up with different kits to make different projects. I love all the supplies too but would probably get nothing done if it wasn't for the classes:upsidedow
I learn a lot in the classes, especially not to panic when I make mistakes:rotfl:

They rearranged them again:crazy2:
I do like some of the new ones::yes:: :wave2:  :drive:

That is true, especially when there isn't a lot of time in port::yes::
But Julie's zipline tip for Puerto Vallarta saved us a lot of money last time and with the long time in port it was worth it:goodvibes I guess I will rely on DCL with the ports that we are time pressed:confused3

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

I mostly do DCL excursions, but when I have the time, I've saved good money booking my own.

Same here. And we will be traveling with 2- 8 yo and 1 -10 yo girl princess: princess: princess: and I am thinking palaces may be quite popular.

Get them in shape walking, there's lots to be done in these ports.
Are you going to have them keep a journal to share at school when they go back? We used to have DD do that when she was younger so she could remember a lot of what we did. The funniest she kept was her lists of towns and street names when we went to Australia. The one that we laughed at the most was Boytown.

hello JoAnn. Isn't it typical that when you can drop in to chat that there's no one around :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2

I thought I would have more time today, but I had training all day and some unpleasant meetings so now I'm catching up AND ENJOYING MY WEEKEND. We have what you would call a "bank holiday" on Monday (Martin Luther King Day) so I'm not back to work until Tuesday.:rainbow:

In StP I saved almost $350. on our 2 day tour by booking on our own and saw much more. This was even taking into account buying our lunch both days, which the ship's tour included. It was really good since we were able to get DD the student discount and not have to pay full price for her. The other 2 families in our group were very grateful that I thought to ask about student prices since 1 family had 3 kids and the other had 2 kids.
