It was somewhere around 120-130. Delivery took a looong time:rolleyes1

It was OVER 130 . . . I won't mention who was in charge of taking names but I know for a fact that it was over 130 and people kept asking to join after our cut-off date. I don't think it will be that many on this cruise . . .

I'm pretty sure Linda has to work that day, so most likely we'll have to pass. But if there's another meet later on, we'll do our best to be there!:thumbsup2

We will definitely do it again and will try to make sure it is a date you and Linda can make it:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Has anyone done a cost comparison with the DCL Baltic cruise with other Baltic cruises from other cruiselines ?
We did a rough comparison and thought that with our 10% rebooking discount and takinf into consideration room sizes and extra fees that there really wasn't much difference:confused3
Did anyone else find the same thing:confused3

I didn't even research other lines after taking one RCCL cruise and missing DCL the entire time . . . however, I will say that you really do have to take into consideration the room sizes -- on most other lines you have to get a junior suite to get the same size cabin DCL has in cats 10-5 . . .

Should we just keep on going? What happens if you post and there is no room? Are you just out there in cyber space?

If you have quoted something, and it tells you this one is closed, go to the other one and reply and the quote from this thread will be there . . . I did that before, too:goodvibes

That's actually one that I was planning on volunteering for, but thanks for making sure that I can't get out of it now!:lmao:

We weren't going to let you get out of it, anyway:lmao: you did a FABULOUS job on the last one:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 so much easier to figure out where everyone was.

Are you working now Izzie or are you home already? Me, being a Domestic Goddess, I am just :happytv: :surfweb: !!

It's just after 8PM over this side of the pond. I started work at 7:30AM and left just after 6PM so I think I did my full day today. Unfortunately I do that 5days a week. Well that's not quite true on Fridays I leave at my contracted time of 4PM so I can take our eldest to his Barmitzvah class.

Ok I give up I join this cruise talk. If you need to get a junior suite to get the same size of DCL stateroom at cat 10 - 5. What type of room on other cruise line is equivilant to a DCL cat 4 ??

It's also nice that we'll all be such good friends before we even get on the ship, even with those folks that we've not actually met yet :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

IT'S A DIS THING !!

I totally agree Izzi!

The most important thing to us when travelling is to experience new things together as a family. We just happened to have a really big extended family onboard the last time!;)

What was really nice was the ability to join in on whatever DIS-planned events that you wanted to. There was no pressure to join in, and all were welcomed.

The other nice thing was just recognizing so many people as we wandered the ship.

Don't worry about it -- just keep posting here until they lock it . . . on our PC repo thread sometimes they wouldn't notice until 255 or so . . .

Maybe someone will score the elusive 4000 pirate! I think we had one of those on our mulitple incarnations of the repo thread.

Sounds good!:thumbsup2

Our plans were to book this one, and check out RCCL rates when they opened up their 2010 bookings. Then you folks happened, and we're not going anywhere else!:grouphug:

Now if only I was smart enough to save the blank deck plans and only have to go back and fill in the ones with DIS'ers. I'll have to look into that... but something tells me I wasn't that smart.

You're so right :thumbsup2 On the night before our Med cruise we met up with some Dissers and went out for dinner and then onto watch the magic fountains. Paul and I were talking about meeting "these strangers" as we walked down to the resturant and I remember saying that they weren't strangers as I'd been talking to them for months before on a daily basis. Everyone did feel like best friends and talking to these people it was just like talking to people I'd know for years and years. It really is a very special, magical community :grouphug: :grouphug:

The bathrooms are hell on any cabin but a suite on the other cruise lines. The showers are so small any time you turn around some body part would push the curtin past it's "safe" point and you flood the bathroom floor. Thank God for the drain in the middle of the floor.

Linda and I took a Carnival cruise way back when. There wasn't even a tub, just a tiny little shower stall that I had to squat way down in just to get my hair wet. You're right, the bathroom was pretty much flooded on a daily basis.

Small then !!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just got an email that i need to fill out my application for graduation and bring it to school on Friday!:woohoo:

That's one more sign that there's a light at the end of the tunnel!

I start rotation number 5 on Tuesday. Only 3 more to go until graduation.

And we just rented a fire hall for my graduation party. Who's coming?!?!?

Not having cruised any other line, but watched the t.v. adverts. Do I take it they "do" the shops and and the "attractions" i.e flow rider, climing wall, golf, etc really well but the staterooms leave a bit to be desired :confused3 :confused3
