Anyway, we're down the beach (in the freezing cold, yes) so I can't access my digital photos here. The good news is THAT I WON over $100 last at the Borgata . So cool! I don't like to brag, but winning is so infrequent, I wanted to celebrate! Thank you for listening!!

Any win is a good win, especially at the Borgata. I've never won anything there.

Congrats, JoAnn! You know, I always think that "found" money like that which you weren't expecting should go for a splurge you wouldn't normally do -- a nice diner out, a massage, a dress, etc. Have fun with it!!!!

Hotel & casino at Atlantic City. It's on the way into the, not on the boardwalk.

It's snowing here . Fortunately it's not sticking on the roads, but the ground is covered .


I thought I was going to be able to post a picture for tomorrow, or at least try and figure out how to do it, but the computer with my pics on it is on the fritz and of course the printer is hooked up to that one so I can't even scan in a pic. Then I thought I would have my friend post our Christmas card from last year and then I could post it on here, but she can't find her picture cards from last year . So...you are out of luck for me for a while. I tried for tomorrow.

I think I'm going to have to dig out my packet of stuff that came with the computer - hope I can find it. I have a couple of friends that work on computers so if we can't do it I hope one of them will be able to look at it and fix it.

Congratulations! we were at a Hockey Fundraiser Wine tasting last night I spent $20 on raffle tickets for 26 prizes & won nothing, zero, nada!

So goes my luck!

I have to stake the driveway today as they are expecting a dusting to 2 inches of snow tomorrow!

My Son is playinf in a Varsity Scrimmage tonight he is still not officially on the team however they do have him centering the 3rd line, which is not great but is better than the 4th line or already being placed on JV!

Sorry about the raffle.........best wishes on the Varsity situation.....we've been there and back with our youngest (she's presently playing for Drexel U -also, her preferred position is Center Midfield!) GL with all that!

As Barb said, it's a casino in AC. Ken & I usually travel down to NJ on Friday nights, stay over, hit the Borgata that night, and then visit with my parents the next day. Last week, we went to the AC outlets. I consider it to be the nicest casino in AC, and it also has some fine restaurants like Wolfgang Puck. Now that the girls are all out of the house, we've been trying to take advantage of finally being able to enjoy our "adult" time!!

All I can say, Barb, is..........PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!! (And of course, luck!)

Funny you should mention that.........so there I was, just like 10 minutes into the casino, I had bet $20, and I had a voucher for $160 , so I got up and showed it to Ken and off we went to Bobby Flay Steakhouse!!!!!

If you haven't tried this place, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! He's known for his "steak rubs" and I heard there's also a restaurant in Atlantis. So fantastic! It was really a special treat! Okay, back to reality............

We live under 2 hours to AC........with no traffic it can be 1.5 hrs. Seriously, I highly recommend BF for a special dinner!

Hello All!! It has been a crazy but fun two weeks in the Phelan house. Carley played with her school orchestra at Lincoln Center, and she had first Cotillion. The pictures show the Pre Party we hosted Friday Night. We had about 30 "couples, and most of the parents for appetizers and photo opts!! I think there were about 80 or more people here when all was said and done. carley had a great time, and she looked so grown up and beautiful. The house was all decorated and each room on the first floor was actually clean at one time!!No papers on the kitchen island, no shoes and missing socks on the steps, pillows in den all straight and puffed!! As I walked from one room to another there weren't giant dust bunnies following me - Wow- my floors are really beautiful when they are free from debris and cleaned!!
One day later- the papers are back, and dust bunny embryos are already starting to form... it was so nice while it lasted!
Oh well, I will get some pictures of the tree and decorations up later- time for church!! I miss you all ! I love getting the holiday cards.. mine wont go out until late next week- I hope!!This working full time really puts a cramp in my style!!

So glad she had a wonderful time and that her concert went so well! One of the teacher's I work with has a daughter who is a freshman at SHA and she was so also talking about the cottillion. The unfortunate part is that she had to attend a 2nd year teacher retreat for the weekend and she could't see her daughter all dressed up. But, I'm sure her dad took a lot of photos.

What we do for our kids. But I' sure all the and scrubbing was worth it!!
