Question for fellow Ballyhooers! Do you talk about this thread with your family? Andrew and I do with the girls. They know quite a bit of what goes on here! They know names of people, where they live and stuff. I believe Andrew and I are the only spouses on the thread, so I'm sure that makes a difference.

I talk to DH about you all the time. Like last time, he felt like he knew many of you before he "met" you. He always asks about those of you that we met on the Med.

It's fantastic to go up ther after dinner. Paul and I did that most nights on the Med cruise. We brought with us cheese and biscuits from dinner and just sat up there and chilled. Most nights other Disers would join us there and we'd talk about our days adventures and generally have a good laugh. It was nice to get away from the kids for a while as we'd been with them all day whilst ashore but they knew where to find us if they wanted anything. It was one of my favourite parts of the cruise.:grouphug: :grouphug:

Oh Izzi,
I can't help but remember the last night on the Med with that couple (this is a family thread). OMG, Tom & I still think about it and :rotfl: . The best was the officers didn't know what to do. Remember the guys holding up the blanket.:rotfl: :rotfl: and making sure no children went past them. For those of you not on the Med cruise with us, there was this couple doing things they definitely should not have been doing on the lounge chairs by Quite Cove. We all got an education that night.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:grouphug: :grouphug: To all our CA friends with hopes these fires end soon.:grouphug: :grouphug:

Does this mean I still allowed to have Scrumpy and Rum Runners?!? Even if I have to have them on the other side of the ship.

Of course :thumbsup2 :lmao: :goodvibes

Hey what about me !!!!! The implication is that I'm a radical
Yup:lmao:

Now you don't have to talk nice about him anymore.
He should have said the same about you, as you were even sending Paul over to 'his' side. That's it, Paul stays with us.
:headache:  Its okay I will take back whatever I posted! As soon as I can get you knife out of my BACK!

I'm sure Paul would much prefer to spend a few hours on a nightly basis eating our daily bought chocolate in the Quiet Cove with a fab coffee and cheese and biscuits.

I'm sure Andrew will be happy to join us there too! He'll have tea instead of coffee though!

Seems to me as though he's losing his BROTHERHOOD by the minute

Jay will join us as well, after going to Diversions to get his Guinness or enjoying a beer that has been bought in port that day.

Now we are reeling them all in from the BROTHERHOOD. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :grouphug: I go away for a couple of hours & you 2 go on a group attack MEN THAT IS WHY YOU CAN NEVER TRUST THE SISTERHOOD!:headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

Mike that's ok, I still haven't sat in there and only looked in there once or twice. Might have to do that in June to see what it's all about.

If the Uggs fit!;)

Don't get me wrong, I'll still enjoy some scrumpy and rum runners too!
Wow your playing both sides of the fence!

You are both more than welcome to join us .....I'm looking forward to seeing you there

Night, Night all, play nice :grouphug:

Nite, Nite...
Typical leave before I return.

It is all right! I will Now Boycott all Disser function's and activities I can have fun fairly easy & make lots on Non-Sisterhood Non-Disser friends! Who Needs Any of You!:snooty: :snooty: :snooty: :snooty:

I have worked for REI (Recreational Equipment INC), an outdoor retailer for almost 24 years. I have sold LOTS of UGG boots before I came up to the warehouse. I know a little about clothing, both manufacture and retail, a bit more about footwear, and some about fitting and selling bikes and backpacks.

And since I have read an obscene amount in various genres (Caro love the word GENRE) I have large amount of "useless" information readily available.

But thank you for the compliment.

OH! A source! My son tells me last night that his current girlfriend (I just bought her a pair of UGG that were on sale) has a connection and she can get them at an extremely GREAT price assuming they are in stock! :headache: Now he tells me!

Luckily we live about 30 miles away from the closest one. But we still have ash everywhere. But that's nothing compared to what so many are going through. One of my friends uncle's home is a total loss, and I know of a few others that are still not free and clear. A lot of my co-workers (castmembers) live in the Anaheim hills/Yorba Linda area, so we'll see how everything is when I get to Anaheim for work tomorrow. :guilty:

Anyway, Have a great day everyone,:grouphug:

Hope all is well. Keep us informed.

Unfortunately I know you're right in that regard ....... I can just about guarantee my DH, Paul, joining you :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

If you promise not to mention shopping, or attending any DIS meets, I'm sure DH will join you too.

No, No you have that wrong ... it's Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I just discovered them. ::yes:: I like! :thumbsup2

I don't protest too much....just shop too much. :woohoo:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And we will welcome you over to our side also! As our numbers grow, we get more POWER!

Don't forget our power SURGES! Huh Sallie? ;)

Will I still be in the SISTERHOOD if I mention that I'm not a shopper? I'm a Crocs, jeans and sweats kind of girl.

My kind of gal although I'm turning out some :snooty: girl shoppers.

And I think I can be persuaded to come over to the :darth: Dark side every once in a while as long as I don't have to wear them more than 4 hrs.

And for the record, when Laura mentions "Candy" I don't mean the edible kind. DH likes to spoil me by getting me "candy" of some sort at a port of call. Yeah - he's sweet.

Oh! Mini-Me mentioned shopping - gotta go (I have to exchange a wrong size - DD wears a size 8 1/2 not a 9 :headache: )

TA-TA!

Lots of luck Joann ..... don't let them get you down ..... the parents that is :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey, I love parents! Without them, I wouldn't have a job!;) Also, having been one for the last 24 years, I do understand how important everyone is in this process. My worries are more about me being able to communicate properly the things I need to say!

Thanks for the support, Iz............so...........who else has conferences this week? Sallie? Maryann?:hippie:

My family do take an interest, my kids in particular would like penfriends but have asked these for 2009 cruise first.

DW, She who doesnt post, doesnt like the Disboards , but does occassionaly have a look, its just not her 'cup of tea.'

Its Monday always the worst day of the week, back to work, wet and murky weather and getting colder at the end of the week.

So trying to be upbeat, but miserable here in London!!!

Miserable here in Pennsylvania...........freezing temperatures and snow in the forecast..........:sad2:

Not really, they already know I'm nuts.........they also know that whenever we sail, there is a DISmeet and that their mom will know people all over the ship. We have actually traveled, and met some former DIS cruise friends and they have become extended members of our family!

As much as they think I am weird, my family thinks it's cool that we have traveled with people from all over and sometimes booked excursions with them. It's all good!:cloud9:

No conferences for me. We're on trimesters so ours are when we come back from Christmas break. Good luck with yours.

Our weather is supposed to be crummy for the next few days. I heard the "s" word too!:scared1:

That sounds good to me too. It only took me 6 cruises to sit in the Cove cafe and have a coffee and some pastries. I'm sure Linda and I will join you at least a few times. (The nights when we're not totally exhausted from exploring the ports.)

My family and I usually love to do the Rockin' Bar D adult entertainment......we're big fans of that.........or we'll go to Diversions........however, on the Med cruise.........there apparently was more ADULT entertainment at the Cove Cafe loungers.........anyone care to elaborate?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You do realize, that they're really there for more than chocolate and biscuits....   :worship: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

BTW...it's not a knife in your back, it's a hockey stick. Sorry for the high sticking or would that be cross-checking of the back? :confused3  :lmao: :headache:

Besides you do need us, or you life would be dull for a couple of hours each day. :yay: :rotfl2: :surfweb:

We had a great weekend up in Salem MA. We met up with 2 families that we cruised with on the repo trip and toured the town. We did 2 Witch museum/presentations and a pirate one. We also wandered into a lot of the souvenir shops. Linda and some of the other folks had their Tarot cards read. My favorite part of it was that he told Linda when I ask for money for something, she should just let me buy it! I have to start thinking of a good way to use up that freebie!:lmao:

I would like to do this trip sometime.........sounds nice!!:thumbsup2

Ah yes, I get that 'candy' too on each cruise. But I tend to be greedy and get something at each port.  Although on our Baltics cruise I only got a couple of small pieces of amber jewelry and a necklace in the duty free shop at the airport in Philly.
I found a Fabrege egg limited edition pendant that I wanted but we weren't up for spending $6000. on it. :scared1:

Well, sometimes I get "candy" and sometimes I don't. It depends if we have any money left after we pay for the trip!:scared:
