.

Just pulled out the suitcases yesterday, although I started putting aside "trip-only" clothes over a week ago. Put them in a laundry basket (which of course, no one in my house would ever go near... )

Started buying toiletries about one month out.

I'd say you can start anytime now!

Good luck and have fun! :flower1:

I've done way early and way too late, and I like early better. I have a "packing corner" where I start accumulating stuff for the trip. I prefer to start about two to three weeks ahead.

We stay in condos, so take along some food items. I start putting the non-perishables there as I think of them, so I don't have a long list at the end. Also the things like guidebooks, ponchos, meal vouchers, coupons, etc go there early.

The clothes usually get packed three - four days ahead, maybe earlier if we have a busy week going. The last morning is reserved for filling up the cooler and packing the toothbrushes. I don't like to be rushing around right before we leave, though I still always have a list of last minute stuff. I try to assign these things to other family members the day before, but someone usually lets me down.

I just started packing 2 days ago.... since we live in MA, it's chilly, so we won't be needing the shorts and bathing suits around here!LOL! I'll throw in the warmer clothes later in the week and I've got my list of other things to pack (reminder to charge the batteries for your digital camera, cellphones, videocamera's, etc... beforehand too!)

Dont forget to bring the charger for the video camera, cell phone and digital camera as well. I have all my stuff that I am going to ship to POP the week we go. I just need to find a box now. I would pack now but then I would probally over pack!!

I start a list 2 - 3 months before, adding to it as I think of things. I actually start setting things aside to be packed about 3 weeks before. The more time I have, the less I forget to pack. I make sure everything packed is written on the list (usually one list per family member) then I pack the lists too, to be sure we don't forget anything when we pack to go home.

I start the same way Buttercup does. I start making lists of things for each person on the trip ie. my DS needs his asthma meds etc. I take the suitcases out 2 weeks before (to get the attic smell out, LOL) and start packing a week before. Each persons list includes their own personal toiletries, meds, etc. (Meds always go in the carryon-just in case) and I make sure one outfit for each traveler is packed in each suitcase (another just in case).

I take copies of the lists with me on the trip just to insure all items return to NY with us. Maybe I'm just a little retentive. LOL.

Enjoy your trip. princess:

This is so unlike me. We leave in 21 "hours" and I am still not packed. Now, I am a very organized person, who is always packed days before our trip. But we had a mini-trip into town (1-1/2 hours away) for a long weekend (my daughters were in a ballet) and as I'm writing this, my suitcases from that trip are still in the van (long story). Anyway, I really need to get going instead of sitting here. I have so much to do, I don't seem to know where to start. Anyone else have that problem? I did sort of 'pre-pack' a lot of stuff along the way, meaning I threw things in a few laundry tubs if I thought it would be good for Disney, but now I really do need to pack! :earseek:

Well, I'm leaving in two days and I haven't even started to pack. Not sure what's wrong with me. Usually I am already packed. I am so confused. I have always gone in late spring and this is our first time going in December. So.... I guess I am not sure just what to pack. As suggested, alittle bit of this and alittle bit of that. Just hope weather holds out for Friday's MVMCP!!!
