We just got back last week. My mother and fater in law had that room. 6634. They loved it. It is a nav. veranda but it doesn't have the big hole for a balcony like 6636 6638 6640 6642 have. There is a small slanted piece of metel on the corner of the veranda. It is a great location we thought. We had room 6620 and 6622 and 6634,6636,6638,6640,6642. We all loved being close to the elevators. Once we were in room you never heard anyone on elevators. You room is down about 6 rooms from opening to elevators. The one thing we all noticed was once in awhile you could heard something in the engine room. But it was not a constance thing it was a noise that lasted about 3 seconds and then it was gone. Mayby like the brakes or something. Have fun any other ? let me know. Brenda

I thought it was an actually balconey. not the navigators from the pics i looked at on *****************

Here is a Picture of it I found on another thread. Yes, it is a plexiglass balcony. It is slightly blocked so you pay the price of a navigators but get the one that is slightly blocked. 6634 is like the one below and to the right of the one with the person on the balcony just on the other side of the ship. We booked this one for our CA to FL Cruise!

A Reclassied Navigator's Verandah.

What has happened is that many came to complain of the "Obstructed" View from their Verandahs! Notice the slight slant to the right of the picture. So what you are receiving is a Cat 6 for a Cat 7 price. Our gain! There is nothing wrong with the verandah!

Enjoy it!

Yes, they are the same on the Wonder and Magic!

Thanks to these reclassifieds I can do the 14 day repo and get a good verandah!

DH and I had 6634 in June 2002 and immediately complained about the obstructed view (upon boarding) since we paid the same cat. 6 as all those with unobstructed view -- in fact, I got talked into that cabin making ressie by phone and even asked if it was a full view verandah and was told yes.

When DH and I got back we continued to communicate with DCL about how unfair the situation was. DH (KeenHo) posted a lot on these boards about the view and how DCL was handling our complaints. We suffered a LOT of flaming (it was really awful -- by people who had no idea what it was like to have unmet expectations and no satisfaction with DCL when we had done a LOT of research ahead of time).

Shortly thereafter, DCL re-categorized these obstructed view verandah rooms to cat. 7. We were ecstatic on behalf of everyone who will have the "bonus" of a partial view verandah at a cat 7 price!

Enjoy the cabin -- it is located at the very back of the ship, ideally located for quiet and quick access to Topsiders by elevator! And obviously, the verandah is better than a window any day!!!
Happy cruising!!
