$660 to Upgrade!!

I just got off the phone with ALLSEAS. to find out what the possibiltiy would be for us to upgrade. We currently have booked a Cat. 9 cabin. So I started day dreaming (again!) about our July Wonder cruise, and thought, Hey, why not do a verandah? Well Andie from ALLSEAS. said we could go from a cat. 9 to a cat. 5 (none avail. on 4 because we need conn. rooms) for a whopping $660 per cabin! Unless someone can tell me the $660 is woth it, I think I will keep my Cat. 9. Besides, she did say the cabins were the same size, the only differance is the verandah. Thanks for any advice!

I've been in a 9 and I've had a verandah in July. Personally, I wouldn't pay for a verandah in July again. It was 106 degrees, and we could not even touch the railings since they'd been baking in the sun.

If you like breakfast on the verandah, it's nice. Otherwise, the aft overlook gives you a wonderful "semi-private" place to hang. I found a 9 to be very nice, and we spend little time awake in our cabin anyhow....for $660 per cabin, I'd find other things to do with the money!

Hey, thanks , that makes me feel better. And I agree about the hot sun, we had a balcony on a RCCL but it was late May, (not too hot just yet) and it does seem like we too were not on the balcony much

Would also stick with original plan since it it a shorter cruise ,
But u may want to check at the desk when u check in to see what the price is sometimes upgrades the day of the cruise are alot less money.. we have done it nd it was indeed less so we got upgrade we wanted and paid less money..
