DU is offering stateroom 6556, and MouseEarsVacations is offering stateroom 6550, for the same price. 6556 is right across from the elevators, it looks like. Does anyone have opinions on these two staterooms? Please help! Thanks!

We stayed in room 6550. Great location, close to the elevators, kids clubs.

Don't worry about being close to the elevators, the noise is not really an issue..

After reading all the info on these boards I picked 6549 for my room through MouseEar.

We stayed in 6556 and had no problem with noise from the elevators. We considered it a very convenient location. I hope you enjoy your cuise whatever cabin you get. - Mike

6556 ROCKS. It's actually a door down from the elevator lobby, but after staying there I wouldn't hesitate take a door that opens right onto the lobby - we heard absolutely NOTHING from the elevators.

And in 6556 you have no one across the hall from you (other stateroom) since the stairwell is there. That way you hear nothing from across the hall either (like if you had neighbors that let the door slam a lot)

We had 6550 last cruise, and requested it for this cruise! It was a few doors down from the elevators and stairs, and 1 floor up from the kids club. No noise either from the elevators!

I know you are talking about rooms in the 6550's BUT my question is we have 6632. We have never been on a cruise before and had read to try to get close to mid ship .. SO .. are we really going to feel the boat being that far back.

Thanks

That is good news. We are in 6548!

On our last cruise we stayed in room 6558 and loved the room. We were going to stay in the same room this time, but DH decided he wanted to stay on the other side. So, we are in the general loacation as before, but on the Port side (I believe). Great Location!! Perfect for people with kids in the Kids Club. Less stairs to climb (the elevators can be extremely slow) when the kids are asleep in the club and you have to carry them to bed! At least that is what my DH says:D
