Neither- I like the heavyweight smooth plastic hangers.

The metal hangers get thrown out, or a few get saved and used when we travel.

I like either wooden or plastic. Those wire hangers from the dry cleaners always mess up my clothes. They tend to make those little pinch marks on the shoulders!

Since wooden is more expensive, I use plastic ones at home.

We use mostly plastic (the heavy duty ones) and have a very few cedar hangers as well.

You need plastic on the list. Very easy and cheap. Wood are supposed to be better for your clothes because they have more shape. I doing good to get them on a hanger so price is pretty good for me.

They also put their clothes in color order, not likely I'll be doing that anytime soon either.

Nothing but plastic. They're very inexpensive and come in a variety of pretty colors. Now if I could only get my daughter to actually USE the ones in her closet. Seems it is much easier to just leave the clothes on the floor.

We use mostly smooth plastic hangers. I have a few wooden ones - I use them for heavy coats. I also have the clear plastic kind you would find while shopping.
