I have sold many books on Half.com with a lot of success. You do not have to post a photo. When you look up your book you look it up by the ISBN number and at the top of the page it will have button that says Sell Yours Now or something like that.

You can see how much people are selling them for based on condition. I am always very honest in the description listing if there is a dog eared page or anything like that. It was a baby step for me because I was not ready to list on Ebay. I have since listed on there but at least I got the hang of it.

As for needing paypal, I just had the money sent to my checking account. No paypal needed. Or I believe you used to be able to have a check mailed to you instead. But I am not sure what the current payment polociy is.
