bug bite?
Posion Ivy?

Don't chance it, check with the Dr. ASAP

Heat rash? DS had that when we were in Florida, but underneath his arm -- we figured it was from heat or sweating because it went away the next day. If he has no other symptoms like fever, I'd wait and see if it goes away.

Could be poison ivy -- there's supposedly a higher number of cases of it this summer than in the past (at least that's what my doctor said last week).

I would guess heat rash. But I would probably call the doctor.

Absent any other symptoms, I'd wait a bit too. The doc will just tell you to give him Benadryl if he itches and to call back if he presents with anything else.

Pembo,

My son (6.5) had this a few weeks ago. First it appeared on his legs down to his ankles. Then it went away after a few days and reappeared on the back of his arms only. No fever, no itching or any other symptoms. Could be a heat rash. If he should run a fever with the rash, I'd have him seen, but I'd wait it out too to watch it go away.

Did he sit in a wet bathing suit? After the rash(s) went away, we spent the day at the beach and my son didn't want to change out of his suit and got a rash right where you're son has one.

Sounds like he had contact with something irritating his skin that he wore or sat on.

have you changed laundry detergent - something in Tide makes my sister break out like that..

Benedryl or aloe will sooth the itch but watch it and take hime to the non-emergency clinc orr Dr. if it get worse.
