Great job Pembo! Your positive attitude is a lesson for everyone!

Just an FYI. I worked with a wonderful teacher who was deaf in one ear after brain surgery very much like your's. She ended up getting a really neat hearing aid. She wore a small piece in her left (deaf) ear which connected via a very thin wire to a receiver in her right ear. When people spoke on her left, the sound was transmitted to her right and she could respond. It worked a treat and she was really happy being able to keep track of what was going on around her (especially with a room full of 4 and 5 yos! )

Barb, hang in there, your attitude is inspiring to all of us. So glad to see you notice all the things you can do. Remember I told you I had to stay in bed for 9 months. I was glad just to be able to get a toothbrush in my mouth. I am also deaf in my right ear. My 3 ds are teens and I always have to remind them to stand on my left side or I dont hear what they say. I also can't turn that well to the right so I tell them to please stand on my left. They know, its left or nothing!! Your kids will get the hang of it, remember they are little. Hows things going with the little one and her adventures (From your previous posts). Blessings to you.

All in all not a bad attitude. You know you've made progress and you know you've got more to do. Prayers to give you the strength to keep going and for it to all to turn out 100%. (And Bianca still doesn't have Miranda back. )
