Myself, my family, and extended family :grouphug: will be going to Disney this 4th of July! My grandparents, who live in Kissimmee, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary while we are there. We have arranged to celebrate with my grandparents, and have they come to Disney for a few days.

My grandparents are seafood lovers with simple tastes, and will not be purchasing any park passes. Can you please suggest some restaurants that are not in the parks! Also once I make the ADR, does it make sense to call the restaurant directly and speak to the manager? Will the restaurant make a “fuss” over an event like this?

Any suggestions and help are appreciated!

A lot will depend on the number of people and the age ranges. A party of 6 is easier tho handle than 16; young children can make a difference also.

My suggestions would be Flying Fish at the Boardwalk or Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian.

I would recommend the Grand Floridian Cafe. The decor is very Victorian and would have a "anniversary" feel to it. The atmosphere while very nice still feels casual. The food is delicious, and I've never had anything other than impeccable service. We have had everything there from seafood, to steak to hamburgers and it was excellent!!! You can then also order something very special from the Grand Floridian Bakery. They do beautiful work. Beautiful picture places too at the Grand Floridian. Call and plan in advance and I'm sure they will go out of their way to make the meal special for your Grandparents.

Cape May has a seafood buffet for dinner. It is at Beach Club resort. I have never eaten there, but my DH's brother's family did and they enjoyed it. I believe there is an extra charge for the crab legs. It is a character meal.

Thank you for your help. I've heard really good reviews of Cape May, plus it sounds like there are loads of different seafood choices. I also like the idea of Fultons.

I thought the Cape May character dining was just for breakfast? Am I wrong?

My grandparents raised their family in s suburb of Boston. Are there any restaurants with a Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard theme?

Thanks to everyone for their help

Cape May only has character for breakfast, the setting might not be the best, it is loud. Have you thought of Narcossee at the Grand Floridian, it is a lovely restaurant, with a beautiful view of the castle, it would be a nice setting for such an occasion.

Thanks to you all for your help! I have made an ADR at Narcossee, for 6 adults, the day of their anniversary! I have also made an ADR at Cape May Buffet for the following night. I was able to get an ADR for 12 (10 adults, and 2 children)!

Thank you so much for your help,
