60 day hotel reservations with points

I need clarification here...can hotel reservations be made for anytime(even 60 days before points expiration date)as long as the reservations are made MORE than 60 days in advance?

I've read a post recently that stated no hotel reservations 60 days from pt expiration and I'm concerned.

You can stay at a Disney hotel during the last 60 days of the use year as long as you make ressies outside of the 60 day period. What you cannot do is call 60 days or less before end of use year and try to make a ressie for a time before the end of the use year.

And just adding to make sure I'm clear: For a WDW hotel you must make the call for the ressie from anywhere from 11 months to 3 days in advance of the time you will arrive. Thus, you could call 61 days before the end of the use year and make a ressie that begins 3 days later (subject to there being a room available), but you cannot call 60 or fewer days before the end of the use year to make a ressie during that time.t
