60 Day Fastpass problem

We are currently booked at a Disney Springs resort which enables our 60 day fast pass booking in the next week or so for our upcoming trip. However, my family owns a timeshare and we are working on obtaining a 2 bedroom condo, in which case we will cancel our Disney Springs hotel. What happens if this happens after we have booked our 60 day fastpass? I realize this sounds like a workaround and I'm sure Disney probably has a procedure in place to prevent it. I am in no way trying to break any rules, but what happens if my reservation changes after making these fastpasses?

Thanks

Back in February WDW was implemented a new rule, effective Feb. 4, Disney World will cancel your FastPass+ reservations if you cancel your hotel reservation.

That makes sense, but if we were within that 30 day window would they still cancel them? Sounds like I just need to cancel them myself and rebook them.
