6 Years ago today under a total lunar eclipse the Boston Red Sox beat the St. Louis Cardinals to win their first World Series in 86 years. This was the one sports moment that has mattered to me and one of the happiest time I have ever been with my family, outside of Disney of course. Do you remember where you were?

Its just sad that the Red Sox aren't in the World Series this year. But its nice to see some new teams taking center stage this year.

Tonight starts the new series. Congratulations on your fond memory.

I watched it at home and still get a tingle thinking about how I felt when they won. There was dancing at my house. I remember as far back as '67, and finally winning it all was a dream come true.

I think I'll watch the 2004 Sox DVD instead of the Series tonight.

My favorite sports moment is when a certain grounder went under a certain players legs in the 1986 World Series.

:cool1:

Sorry OP

I think I was in my kitchen. I was happy. I was wearing red socks. I thought it was symbolic, haha. That's why I like them.

I'm from Jersey, so I'll never admit this again.

Poor Bill Buckner. He was a decent player but he'll always be remembered for that error.

Sorry OP

I was at that game and it still hurts.

However, "The Steal" by Dave Roberts in Game 4 of the Sox/Yankees playoffs went a long way to erase the mess of 1986 from my memory.
