DS will be 6 months old when we head to Disney for 8 nights...3 weeks to go!

It will be me, DH, DD age 5 and MIL, staying at POFQ.

I think we're pretty prepared:
Stroller from Magic Strollers
Groceries being delivered
Direct flights
Bringing the ErgoBaby carrier, which he loves
Got some new toys for distraction
He's nursing so I'll have no "food" issues

But...I guess I'm concerned with what to do at restaurants. He's not sitting unsupported yet and even if/when he does master that he certainly won't be able to sit in the high chairs without backs for a long period of time. I don't think any of us (him included) will want to pass him around taking turns every time we sit down to eat!

Suggestions??

This is DDs 5th trip but we started going when she was 2.

Tia!!

If he is asleep, and it is not too busy, sometimes they will let you bring the stroller in. you can also continue to wear him in the carrier, adjusting him so that he is lower, almost to your waist. Not really a break for you, but at least you would have both hands to eat. We also had when our oldest was little , a fabric seat cover that had a draw string type strap inside that you would put over the seat of a high chair and it gave them a bit more security and support. He would need to be sitting a bit on his own, so not sure if this would be helpful, or if you could find something like that.

They do make portable baby high chair seats.I would get one with a 5 point harness attached. This would fit in th regular resteraunt high chairs. The high back one would probally have more support. If you had your infant car seat that would snap right in ,but it sounds like you will not have that and it would be a pain to carry around.Googgle portable infant seats.Good luck have fun.:)

Some restaurants have th more recline seat. We got one at chef mickeys when we took my middle child at 6 months

Mine always sleep on my back in the ergo and then I just sit and eat. Front too. If you want to put him down they do have high chairs where the seat is recline like an infant carrier.

We brought DD at 8 months, and she wasn't sitting supported yet. Many times when we explained that she couldn't sit on her own, we were allowed to bring the stroller in with us. We did that at Pecos Bill (twice) and Be Our Guest. The two places we couldn't do that were Coral Reef and Tony's Town Square. At tony's we tried to put her in a high chair (she was close to sitting on her own), using jackets to help prop her, but it didn't work. At Coral Reef we just passed her around. As a PP said, Chef Mickey's has a reclining infant high chair for babies that can't sit unsupported.

What do you do at home when going out to eat? When we went last year when our little one was 4 months old, it wasn't an issue...we did at disney what we did at home. If he was sleeping I would obviously just keep him in the carrier, but if he was awake, we would just take turns holding him on our lap.
