6 kids - how will it work?

Hi - I'm new to this board but from lurking I have done I hope that someone on here can help.

My husband and I have 6 boys and will be taking our first trip as a family to Disney next May. We have never flown with all of them before. When we flew with the older 4 it was easy - my husband took 2 and I took 2 and we filled up two full rows. But how will this work with 8??

The boys will be 9, 7, 6, 4, 3 and 3 at the time of our trip. Any tips on seating arrangements that would make our lives easier? I am looking at booking tickets soon as Delta has non-stop flights for a fairly good price.

My recommendation would be to first book your flight early so that there are lots of seats available. Then do either of these 2 arrangements:

Option 1:
Have yourself and the 2 youngest kids on 1 side of the plane and put your 2 oldest kids on the row opposite you in the aisle and middle seat. Then have your husband with the 2 other younger kids in a row in front of or behind you.

Option 2:
All on the same side of the plane in 3 consecutive rows: you + the youngest 2 (or 2 of the 4 youngest), then the 2 oldest kids, finally your husband and the 2 remaining kids.

Option #1 as suggested by the pp could work really well, as I've found that most rows aren't actually side by side but rather a little off set.

This has worked against me, as I often travel alone with 3 kids and my oldest (who is 5) sits across the aisle from me but ends up being a little ahead or a little behind me. For you, however, if you can figure it out well, it could work!

hmm... when I edit it, I see my original formatting... but it disappears when I post. I'd had a series of spaces before the 21DEF, to put it on the other side of the 'plane'.
