I have searched the HUGE cake thread in vain, but really can't find much info regarding the $12.50-ish six inch cakes. You know, the ones that just about all restaurants have and you simply ask for them at the podium. The cake thread is pretty much devoted to the amazing custom Disney confections. I KNOW those are to die for, but there are only 3 of us and we're just looking to have a token cake so DD can blow out a candle and we can have a slice and not have a cake go to waste. She'll have the elaborate cake for her party at home.
That being said, I don't want a tasteless cake, even if it only costs $12.50.
If any of you have gotten the 6 inch $12.50 "pre-prepared podium possibly been frozen cake", could you please tell me what it was like? I believe I have read that you get a choice of vanilla or chocolate. But is the icing buttercream or whipped cream? Does it taste decent? What does it look like?
I think we will celebrate at Coral Reef, but Le Cellier is also a possibility. I know about the Coral Reef diver and menu already and am working on that. But if you have specific cake info/birthday celebration info for either of those restaurants, please share that as well.
Really, anything you could tell me would be appreciated. Thanks so much.
