is there a cost effective way to have 6 day pass other than 5+1? we wan't a 6 day pass so that we can do 2 partial days and 4 full days. our trip is split in the middle for a 2 day break and we'd like to have 1/2 day+ 2 full days for each segment of our DLCA stay.

You can only buy up to 5 days on a single ticket. You'd either have to buy an AP, do 5+1 (could do non-hopper for the +1 to save a little) or some other combination like 3+3 or 4+2.

Looking at the prices a 5+1 is the most cost effective if you want 6 days. Assuming all park hoppers and purchasing from Disney (so no discounts), a 5+1 would be $504, a 4+2 would be $555, and a 3+3 would be $590. If you were willing to have a non-park hopper for the +1 part of the 5+1, it would only be $454.

If you went 3+3 at least you could get 2 magic mornings

Sorry, OP. We struggle with this as well.

Where do you live? Can you come back the following year a week or so earlier? If you can it may be worth considering buying an AP. They also give you discounts. Unfortunately, unless you live in CA, you'd have to pay the whole amount at one time. It's a great money saver, but only if you can afford to buy the APs in the first place-at $599 a person it's a lot. But if you're looking at 5+1 day hoppers you're already spending over $500 a person, so it's only an extra $100 a person.

I am editing my post, as upon reading your original post better I see you have already planned a rest day!

So now I feel like a goof for not reading better before I posted.

So I'll just wish you a happy trip!

we used to live in socal for a year and had the resident AP's (ah the good old affordable days). YOMD was awesome as we got the base APs for the equivalent of a single day admission, $72.

I digress, I will check with DVC if there are any options. If anyone knows if there are, feel free to speak up. Thanks.

Just want to make sure you aren't military, or going with someone that is military. Retired military counts... Then you could do 2 3-day military salute tickets.

Any chance you're from Australia or NZ? If so, there's a 10 day park hopper pass that is the same price as a 5-day hopper. It can only be purchased ahead of time abroad though and you have to show proof of residence.
