We're looking for a 6 br house for next January for my entire family. Have any of you stayed in one you can recommend? I have a couple very picky relatives, so I need a personal recommendation!

We really just want to make sure we're not renting a dive. We'd like a place that has been freshly painted and cleaned that's been updated recently.

Thanks!

Jennifer

Sorry, I can't help you with a recommendation for a 6 BR house. We stayed in a 4BR home in Windsor Hills managed by www.floridasunvacationhomes.com. I believe they have 6 BR homes available. They are an excellent management company. We loved Windsor Hills and plan to stay there again for our next trip in March of 2010.

I can't ever seem to get links or photos in but www.romancingthemouse.com is one. They have a 4,5 and 6 bdrm in WH.

We are staying in their 6 bedroom house in Windsor Hills in May. I would be happy to get back to you after our stay and give you any information you would like. You can check out thier website romancingthemouse.com and they have pictures up of all thier houses.

We stay in a wonderful 6 bed home on Cumbrian Lakes. Florida Leisure is the management company but if I put a link this forum blanks it out. I have no idea why this happens as other people give links.

Any way go to their web site and look at 6 bed homes and then house number 4618. It's a great house with a lovely lake and fountain view. The home has an oversize pool deck and is in a great location. We rent it every September and while they aren't the cheapest the house is very well looked after.

I love my evenings on the pool deck as the sun goes down. Can't wait to go again.

I've stayed at romancing the mouse's 4 bedroom and it's wonderful. I've seen the 5 bedroom and it's very nice, too, so I would expect the 6 bedroom to be the same.

:)

Thank you all for these great links. I have been working on our someday trip to WDW (will be our first) and I think we will be renting a home. In laws want to go with us but on the days they do not join us in the parks, they do not want to be stuck in a hotel room. I think this is the perfect option for us. Now, just to decide which one!!!! :goodvibes

We stayed with www.romancingthemouse.com and it was great!

2 years ago we stayed in the 5 bedroom house and this coming April we are staying in the 6 bedroom one.

You get their 30% discount rate if you are referred. Feel free to PM me if you're interested and I can give you my email address to use as the referral (I get an extra 5% off our next stay as well).

A couple things to note with RomancingTheMouse...

1) their prices include everything - taxes, pool heat, everything.
2) Excellent customer service - they greet you at the house (you don't have to go somewhere to meet them) with fresh from the oven cookies as well as juice and muffins. They give you a tour of the home and show you how to use the tv equipment. They will give you Disney tips (not like DIS'ers need them:goodvibes). They'll let you know what groceries store to go to, etc. They will even give you their cell phone # to contact them if you need anything!
3) we signed up for their free romance package and so we also got chocolate covered strawberries delivered near the end of our stay.
4) The owners live in the Windsor Hills community, so they are right nearby if you need anything.
5) They provide the essentials like toilet paper, salt & pepper, etc so you're not having to buy everything. All those little details add up to a wonderful experience!

I couldn't recommend them more highly!

Forgot to add....

staying in a rental home is ideal, IMHO.

It is so nice to be able to come home to a nice big HOME instead of hotel room. You can do some of your own cooking to save some $ (especially breakfast which is so easy). You get your very own pool! This was one of the highlights of the whole trip for our kids 2 years ago!!

It was ideal for us because we had a 3 month old at the time and he could be napping inside while we were out by the pool - in a hotel or even condo, I would've been stuck inside with him during naptime.

And, no offense to the hard core Disney'ers out there, but I love to be able to get away from Disney. I don't particularly want to be immersed in it 24/7 for the whole week.

Put it this way - we went to Disney with 4 children ages 3 months, 2 yrs, 4 yrs and 6 yrs - and we had a RELAXING vacation!!

We've rented homes in that area many times before buying our timeshare in Kissimmee. Last time we rented was in Windsor Palms in Apr 05. They weren't new then. Not that it's very old for a house but Windsor Hills is much newer and closer to WDW.

I've heard other Disers complaining about a sewage odor in the WP area. We did not have that at all but we stayed before the freeway was built which I think may have something to do with it.

If I were choosing, I'd pick WH.

jmho. :goodvibes

We're in the planning stages and I have several bookmarked villas from Windsor Palms.. Is Windsor Hills in the same development/resort?

I also was looking at Reunion Resort..and bookmarked villas/homes from that resort as well..but did come across.. but was wondering if "guests" could use all the amenities.. that they offer..
