6/7/11 - It's a double dip DREAM!

Leaving bright and early Saturday morning. See everyone on the Dream.

We are going to be at Disney World and on the Dream over a 2 week span. You can't believe how much prep work you have to do before leaving for a 2 week trip. Phew! Almost done though and so ready to go!

We're going to be gone 2 weeks, too! It really does take a crazy amount of planning - even just to find a window of time to go! Are you totally ready?

Lucky duck! I am ready, too but I have this overwhelming feeling that I'm forgetting to something that is 1. huge and/or time consuming and also 2. very important. Hmmmmm.

Fortunately for me, Riley's tennis coach had shoulder surgery today so I am running a care pkg out to his house. By the time I get that done, I will have killed nearly an hour and a half, people! Wasn't that nice of him to help me out by getting surgery? (that's him) (that's me - incredibly annoying right now. On the National Annoying Scale, I am an 11)

I liberated my mickey heads from their home depot prison yesterday. I'm sure they will have more fun on a boat than in a warehouse.

I stopped at Home Depot on my way home from work today and liberated a few of my own. Here's where you might see them...

On my carry-on (which I promise on embarkation day will be filled with rum!):


One with my morning coffee (or afternoon mai tai, or for all you know, it's a morning mai tai!):

I stopped at Home Depot on my way home from work today and liberated a few of my own. Here's where you might see them...

I peeled the mickey off it's base and mounted it on pink paper then laminated it and put a pink ribbon on it. Too cute. Maybe I should make a formal night one with rhinestones outlining it! Oh, I wish I had a bedazzler.

LOL! I don't think I've had a mai tai so what do I know? I am a raspberrytini kind of girl. Or a cosmo. I'm totally getting a mai tai now, though. . . . as long as there's no tequila in it. Oh, I think I just threw up a little in my mouth typing the "t" word.

Ok, now I feel kind of ordinary. I never considered peeling Mickey from his boring beige base...

I did it on accident! My daughter was playing with my colorful stack of mickey heads and when I went through them, one was peeling up and I just kind of tugged on the corner to see what would happen. The first ones I messed with, I just cut around the Mickey head w/fancy-ish scissors but I couldn't get it to turn out right.

Looking up mai-tai ingredients right now. . .

Fill remainder of glass with orange pineapple juice (Dole makes a good one). Stir. Add straw and umbrella. Sip in the sunshine.



I have used both Malibu Mango and Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Mango; the ship used something like Cruzan Mango or some Caribbean brand.

I'm not a fan of the "t" word myself, except maybe in a margarita. Keep my fruity drinks filled with rum, thank you!
