I dont think my sister-in-law has ever been back there after we took her on her birthday (and she usually has at least a seasonal pass)....

I've read about the antics at Whispering Canyon. Of course, DH and DD know nothing about this, and I think I will kept it that way. I love ketchup and will have to ask for a bottle or two, or three ...

When we went in '05 we had finally decided on lunch at Le Cellier (this was back in the day when you really didn't need ADRs) only to be told it was closed for a private event. I didn't even bother to try this time around. DD no longer has a taste for red meat ... unless it's an In-N-Out Burger or has a McShape.

How do I know that?!?

Go to www.ups.com. Click on Track by Reference. Under Shipment Reference enter your ressie #. For the Ship Date Range, I entered 5/5/09 to 5/9/09. Click on Track at the bottom of the screen. Voila! You will have info about your cruise docs.

More later. I have to eat dinner, but I wanted to post this first so that everyone can check on their docs.

Well I write my own checks so....

We will probably just drive up the morning of the cruise since it is only 3 hours, though we may change our mind.

If you do not get your docs by Friday, I would suggest calling Disney. You should all have the docs this week.

Can I join the group you're writing checks to or for? Catholic School Teachers don't get paid a lot and every little bit helps. I would/will call Disney on Saturday if my docs don't arrive by Friday.
Whispering Canyon is nice and the Wilderness Lodge is a great resort! Lucky you and your family that you guys can just drive up on the morning of the cruise! I have to fly in the day before from MO.

OMG, that is incredible that you can track packages without knowing the tracking number - thanks so much for sharing! Our docs arrive on Friday too!

Your ADRs sound great Belynda! We are almost never organized enough to get them for anywhere! But so far, I have managed... Teppan Edo (lunch), Sci Fi (lunch), St. Angel Inn (dinner) and either Crystal Palace (dinner) or Cape May (breakfast), I have to decide between the last two as we have 4 TS and 4CS if we do the DDP. I've tried and tried and tried to get Coral Reef (dinner) or Ohanas (dinner), but no luck yet. Didn't even bother with Le Cellier, I assumed that was hopeless at one month out!

Someone on another thread posted that we could go to UPS online to find out where are docs. Mine are in San Jose, CA last I checked. Looks like we should all receive them by Friday.

Thats why you have parents like DH and me volunteering and fund raising to keep tuition down and to retain great teachers. DD is finishing up 7th grade at St. Francis of Assisi School. For 2007, our auction theme was "It's A Pirate's Life". I'm trying to find a couple auction shirts to borrow so DH and I can wear them on our pirate night.

So I go to check my mail today, and I find this really beautiful postcard. On the front it has the DCL ship and flicker it back and forth to see Little Mermaid float up to the ship.. Thinking oh how sweet they are sending us a postcard to welcome us aboard. I flip it over to find, what I have been waiting for a PIN # children sail free! Its for a 7day. We are paying the same amount for the 3day as we will for the 7day. The only thing is we are traveling with a group...So we can not use the pin

Because it is for a 7 day cruise... If I had it first I would of booked it. We are traveling with another family. The only reason why they are going with us in the first place was b/c of us. We got an awesome rate, b/c the other family had a military member. I know we will not be able to convince them to change, LOOOONG story.

Jenni- I just checked and the room at Comfort Suites is a total of $280. So it makes sense for a party of 4 (and I did rent one room). But for two it is still pretty pricey. I think if we had 3 or 4 people, this would be ideal! Last time we did this, it was really easy, quick check-in and a short walk over to Atlantis. We never even looked at the room! But this year with a party of 5, we are just not sure what to do with that last person.... Anyway, I'll keep checking the prices and post if it goes down for June 5. How many people "extra" do you have that would need a room?

Well, it's a bummer, but rates are still high for our day $283! We booked a room for four awhile ago, and we had hoped to get one pass as a day pass. But with over 12000 people in port that day, a day pass seems unlikely. So I reserved the tour through Disney for one person. Ouch - I don't know if I can actually stand to pay that much. So, not sure what we will do!

Yup, we are doing 7 days at WDW after the cruise and have the basic dining plan. I booked dinner at Chef Mickeys at my 180 day mark and the rest of the ressies at my 90 day mark, so I was able to get my choices at the times I wanted. My goal this trip was for us to eat at new places other than our room or the GF Cafe. I booked Crystal Palace, Kona Cafe, Mama Melrose's and Whispering Canyon. I've read good and bad about these restaurants, but at this point I'm not willing to change anything.

From the threads I've read here, it seems that persistence does pay off. Good luck with your ADRs.

You were so smart to get all those ADRs! I finally gave up and canceled the DDP. I was so frustrating trying to be sure we would use up all our TS meals without being about to get the ADRs I really wanted. I'm sure we will get plenty of food on the ship, so I guess ... no worries!

Well, at least you tried and at least now the pressure is off with the ADRs. You can concentrate now on other things. Did you get your docs today? That should bring a smile to your face!

Our favorite WDW restaurants include Boma and O'hanas!!

We were very fortunate in January and happened to be at O'hanas when the fireworks show started at the Magic Kingdom (we had not planned the timing). Watching the show from the restaurant was amazing!!

Hope all you mom's had a great day! My 11 year old DD surprised me by making (all by herself) a fabulous FE! It is so cool - I can't wait to use it!

Also got my docs on Friday, good and bad. Great to have them, cruise is getting closer, but ... it reminded me we STILL have late dining! I am so hoping for the waitlist to clear for main dining. I guess I'll try calling TA...again!
