6:30 Fantasmic followed by 8:30 'Ohana

Is this possible? Not sure what the crowds etc getting out of Fantasmic are like and then trying to get on a bus to the Poly for 8:30.

I got an 'Ohana ADR today and while it's not on the night I want I'm trying to make it work.

Fantasmic is only 25 minutes long. Depending on what time of year you are going, I think you would make it just fine if you sit all the way in the back of Fantasmic to get a head start leaving. We usually find the exit crowd is the biggest hurdle at Fantasmic.

Are you going during a night when they have 1 show or 2 shows? If it's a 2 show night, the crowd will be more manageable.

i would say it's a tight squeeze but you can probably make it... i also think that if you are a few minutes late, 'ohana will be forgiving since they are one restaurant that we have found historically runs behind schedule...

i agree w/the PP that you should sit near the back or head to the back of the theater as the show is nearing completion... know which bus stop you are going to so you can make it w/out hesitating and be near the front of the line... another option would be to take a cab from DHS to the Poly...

We stay at the Poly but I must admit that we have never taken a bus so I am not sure how long it takes. I guess the big issue is the time to get a bus. They Poly isn't that big so I am guessing you would get on the first bus.

Exiting Fantasmic is a lot quicker than entering so I am guessing you won't have any issues. You are goint to be out of DHS by 7:15 so I cannot believe it would take longer than 1 hour to get a bus and make it to the Poly.

We always stay at Poly and we have waited up to 20 minutes before just for the first Poly bus to arrive (that wait was at DTD, the AK bus came in short order but we left at 1:30 in the afternoon so we were the only ones, I would expect a much larger crowd waiting for buses after Fantasmic.) They don't seem to run quite as frequently as the bigger resorts.

They could always take the DHS bus to the TTC and either hop on the monorail from there or walk. We did that once and we found it MUCH quicker than the Poly bus when it shares with other resorts.

I think it's going to be really close. The crowd leaving Fantasmic is unimaginable if you haven't done it before. I'd plan an hour to see/leave Fantasmic and then another hour to get to the Poly. Is this enough time? How packed with the busses be at DHS closing? I'd probably do it, but you are going to have to hustle!

I'm guessing that 6:30 Fantasmic to an 8:30 HDD wouldn't be easier. Because I could possibly move things around to accomodate that.

I showed up at ohana's 30 minutes late (adr for 7) on the 4th of July. They said not a problem at all. Sat us in about 5 minutes.

If you have an adr you can be late. It will never bump someone out their adr. They just wait for a no show and you fill that spot. It happens a lot more then you think.

This isn't true. Lots of people report loosing their ADR's when they were late. It depends on the night and on the CM, but they can and do do it.

I think you'll be okay. I would sit near the exit if at all possible, try to get out right at the end. The Poly bus and the TTC bus are next to each other, so grab the first one that comes. I wouldn't change your ADR--I think you'll be just fine.

I have never heard of someone losing an adr because another person was late. I can't see Disney turning someone with an adr away. They have given free park tickets for complaints about trash on the street in the studios. If they have to turn you away for a dinner they must hook you up big time.

I think you'll be fine. I would just sit near the back of the theater so I could be one of the first out. It usually takes me about an hour to get to wherever I'm going after the show using Disney transportation, and you'll have an hour and a half, so I think it's totally doable.

I totally agree about sitting in the back at Fantasmic. If you do take the bus, I believe Poly is the second stop. You will make it.
