I called to get WOC dinner ressies for the first show. The earliest seating I could get is 6:20, the WOC I think will be held at 9pm (July schedule not out, but basing it on June schedule).
Is this enough time to eat the 3 courses (baring in mind it could be a busy restaurant and them being slow) and make it to the seating window 1/2 hour early? I am not even sure when the "seating" window opens for the dining package?

Is Ariel's Grotto near where the entrance is to the "seating" area or will I have to book it across the park?

What are your thoughts?

we must have posted around the same time! we also have 6:20pm ressies at ariels for the 9pm WOC, but for next week. my question was about the heat/sun since we have outdoor seating.

anywhoo...ariels is near WOC, so you won't have to book it across the park. the earliest dinner reservation for the 9pm show is 5pm.

also, i think that they start walking people to the preferred viewing section around 8:30pm (possibly earlier), but people start waiting in line around 8pm or earlier. i think you'll be okay with the 6:20pm ressie...though you won't be first in line waiting to get to the preferred area.

I was there the first week of May. We had a 5:20 at Ariels, we had plenty of time before the 8:30 show. We were out by 7:00, waited around and were able to get into the viewing area at 7:30. When the seating area opens, be sure to be in the correct area, there is a sign for dining packages, it was near the lighthouse. Many people we not paying attention and we zoomed right over when they put up the sign and got a great spot at the railing.

We did have issues with the outdoor seating. It was 90 plus that day and the first table they took us to was in direct sunlight. We asked for something else and they did move us to the row of tables next to the building. However, in about 15 or 20 minutes, the sun was on us and it was uncomfortable. We're going again in August, we are thinking of getting the picnic deal.

You have PLENTY of time. :) I just did Ariel's on... Tuesday? Yes, Tuesday. Anyway, we had a 7 PM res, were done by 8 and then took our fast passes to TOT, doubled back and arrived around 8:30-8:45 and got a great view. If you're dead set on a specific spot, go ahead and get there at 8:15 (earliest they let in for the 9:15 show) but really, we were totally fine and unobstructed.
