6/14 Cruisers - Meet and Greet!

Only two more weeks and we're off on the high seas! I can't wait!

If you are on the June 14th Magic, let's have a very informal meet and greet at the port at 11:30 a.m. at the sofa's on the far end, facing the ship. If you can, have at least one person wear a green ribbon to be identified or say "I wonder where all those cool disers are?" very loudly. (thanks everyone for the suggestions!)

Our plane doesn't even land until 11:56am so tell everyone hi! We are two families (a total of 7) 4 adults and 3 teenagers, 18, 16, & 15. We'll see you around.

thegales and JoBro... see you at the Radisson? We are staying there also. We will be in around 4 on Friday. I'm disappointed there aren't more DISers and DVC members active on these threads . We'll be a small but happy group .

We are hoping to arrive at the Radisson between 6 and 7 on Friday. I am fairly certain DD's will want to spend time in the pool when we get there. We'll have the lime green out.

Sorry - I've been really busy lately and haven't had time to reply but I've been watching all of you busily making plans and posting...

We should be at the port by around 11:00 am so we'll look for all of you there. It's our first cruise so we may be a little preoccoupied trying to figure out where to go and what to do - but after we get everything settled I'll try to see if I can find you.

There are four of us, me, DH, DD (6) and DD(9 almost 10).

See you all there. I'm really excited but I have so much to do at work I can't really spend much time thinking about it

We will be arriving about the same time. Our flight arrives at 5:45 so we'll make it to the hotel around 6:30ish and probably head to the pool and then find some dinner. Our DD (6) would love to meet your DD's if we happen to hook up.

You mentioned not being sure as to what to do, where to go at the Cruise Terminal. One hint... Make sure you've got all your criuse documents filled out. There is an additional form at the terminal that you can fill out before going upto the counter. They have a central location where you can pick them up about 30 feet back from the check-in counters. If I remember right, they are another immigration form.

Not sure what time we are meeting the rest of our group...appx 16 of us . Will have 4 teen girls 13,16,17,18 with us. We are going to Daytona beach the week before . Our first cruise...and I know it will not be the last. See everyone soon.

Bump. Hello? Anyone home this weekend?
Got our lime green ribbon today, started laying things out and got my dinner clothes ready. Also got the 'incidental" things together such as a first aid kit, asthma med, batteries, phone cards, plastic baggies, waterproof containers, 2-ways, underwater camera, my DVC hat and pins... I swear I was never going to be one of those Disney Geeks with their hat, pins, shirt.. but here I sit at my terminal wearing my hat w/ pins. Don't the wives usually do the packing? Sorry, don't mean to sound sexist . Actually my wife takes care of getting all the kids' things together. I make all the plans. She modeled her new dress for formal night... I thought it looked stunning

We can't wait. Leave from Omaha on Friday morning. Our family has had a rough spring... we were going to WDW and taking my wife's parents over Spring Break and her father passed away the week we were to go (we cancelled the week before). My own mother passed away 3 weeks later. We're hoping to take my mother in-law over Thanksgiving... she's never seen such a "magical" place.

Sorry, not a runner here...actually I walk each morning but don't think I will get any of that done while on vacation! Only 3 more days for us!! We leave Thurs. afternoon to drive to BWI, then fly out first thing Friday am!! Will be at Radisson by 1:30...First things first...ressie for shuttle over to port, then off to buy beer to bring on board...after that it's the pool for us! Trying to decide on Kelsey's or Grills for dinner!! Are you guys as excited as we are????Can't wait to meet you all! Jodi

I'm with thegales philosophy... only if chased (but that's even questionable for me... I do workout though if that's any consolation)

Looks like I'm coming down with the kiddo's and DH will join me later in the afternoon. So I could be at the Radisson by noon or so. We're standby flyers so we only get on if space is available. Everything will be fine, I just don't want any added stress if I can help it!

What is around the Radisson? Is there a Walgreens or similar to buy soda's? What about restaurants????

There is a restaurant in the Radisson, and also one directly next door (walking distance)...I believe it is called Kelsey's...anyway, it is Italian and we enjoyed it very much last time. There is a grocery store down the main street, but you would need to drive..check out Dave's site for all the stuff nearby..it helped me alot!

JoBro... glad to see you've got your priorities straight with the beer . Don't mistake me for a runner, I'm a beer/wine lover with a running problem.
