Our September trip fell through. . . .but. . . . .we are considering surprising our daughter with a trip to Disney for her 5th birthday. In theory at least, we love the idea of waking her up and saying "happy Birthday....we're going to Disney world." (She loves surprises! We surprised her last year with a trip to Disney. We asked if next time she wanted to know or be surprised and she said "Surprise me!")
However. . . her birthday is March 4th. .. which puts us right after Mardi Gras and right at the beginning of spring break. . . The crowd predictors are all over the place. I think i saw 3-4, but I have also seen 7. We were at MK on a 6 last year and found it to be less than ideal (it was also unseasonably hot)... how concerned about the crowds should we be? (We are almost militant rope-droppers and head back to hotel after lunch)
We like the idea of her getting extra attention because it's her 5th birthday, but, can we go later and still count it as a birthday celebration? For example, could we go in May and still have her wear a birthday badge or would Disney frown on that?
Thanks for any thoughts
