The choice was: a party with your friends, or WDW with just Mommy? Guess which one she picked? Her b-day is in May, so that leaves Mommy with just enough planning time!
We've never had a birthday at WDW. What do we do to make sure she gets all the attention a birthday girl craves? I've read on here about birthday pins and how they really get the CMs' attention. I get those at Guest Services, right?
Which resort do 5-year-olds like the best? We're DVC members, but I plan to use my AP discount on a Value or Moderate room this time around since we don't have very many points.
Which character meal is best for a child's birthday? (Preferably one in the parks since she and I go commando-style!) (Or maybe the first seating at Chef Mickey's so we can hop on the monorail the minute we finish eating?)
Now the kicker is, this really needs to be all about her so DH doesn't feel like he's missing anything. He can't go due to work concerns. I think a dinner show would be loads of fun, but since he would probably enjoy it, I'd rather wait until the next family trip. So please help me with ideas that a grown man and little brother would roll their eyes at but that a little princess and her mommy would adore. Maybe tea at the Grand Floridian?
