Hey Pembo!! I'm glad to hear you're making progress. Sometimes when you wish it would go faster you have to go back to the beginning and remember just how far you've come. And as for your family...I'm sure they don't mind a bit. They're probably just so thankful you're OK!

 Just take it day by day. No matter how hard it gets please keep doing everything that the PT/OT gives you to do. :sunny: As difficult as it may be, try not to feel so guilty and take this time to take care of yourself.

You're my hero! :flower3: Don't be hesitant about seeing a councilor on those guilt feelings. Surgery may be on your body but it certainly effects our emotions.

Keep up the fabulous work!

Now for the guilt....I feel guilty because this surgery has affected my dh, my kids and my parents. My kids are adjusting pretty well. My parents have taken on so much of the load. That is where I feel the guilt. My mom is keeping my dd so my dh doesn't have to take on so much but that makes me feel guilty. It is a vicious circle. Then I still can't believe I had a brain tumor. I don't know if I will ever really get that.

First off hugs to you Pembo--it sounds like you are making as good a recovery as could be expected.

Secondly--please PLEASE do not feel guilty. I don't know you all that well, but I would LAY MONEY that you did not choose to have a brain tumor. Am I right? I know health issues can affect so many of those around us. But, they are around you because they care for and love you.

Please try to let go of the guilt (easier said than done) and really concentrate on getting better.

Debbie

Bless your heart. I'm sending pixie dust your way. princess:

Pembo, you rock! You are doing remarkably well so soon after the surgery. That's amazing.

I can so relate to your "difficulties". They sound like some of my very bad MS attacks. Not being able to drink out of a glass, eye not blinking, bad vision, loss of equilibrium - that's all me. And I know what it's like to do bills when you can hardly write - I've been there and done that more times than I care to think about.:p

You hang in there. You will see that light at the end of the tunnel, it just might take awhile to get to it.

 You sound like you are improving day by day and thats great. Dont feel guilty that your family is having to help out, Im sure they dont mind at all. I know I wouldnt. Im sure they are just happy that you are getting better

:grouphug:We are praying for you and your family. Sending tons of PD and lots of hugs. I think that you are doing a great job in your recovery so far in this short amount of time. :goodvibes: ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I hope you can put your mind at ease and not feel guilty Pembo...they are helping because they love you.

Tons of good wishes to you and your family. You sound like you are doing remarkably well!

So glad to see you posting Pembo.

I can't tell you not to feel guilty because your feelings are Your Feelings. I know you didn't make the choice for this to happen so try to remind yourself of that. One day at a time and it is good you have something in the future for a goal.

Sending you good thoughts from here as well!!!!!

 :sunny: Good to hear from you Barb, hang in there and take it day by day. You are doing great from your post. Of course you can see from my tag, I love the Poly too. What a great vacation to look forward to. Blessings to you and your family.
