Just wondering what all do they have going on for the 50th Anniverary?
and how crowded will it be the begining of August?

I'll be there Aug. 1st - 6th. I figured the weekdays will be better than the weekends at least! I'm also hoping that everyone that comes around 7/17 will still be recovering from the crowds and/or be broke !
I'm sure it will be busy. We're planning on getting there early, leaving for the afternoon, then coming back in the evening.
Be sure to see the parade and the fireworks, they are new for the 50th.
Have a great trip. I can't wait!!!

I would expect August to be quite busy. It's a peak time anyhow as most students are still on summer break, but the 50th is attracting much more than the normal amount of summer visitors. However, you still have time to plan and make it a good trip. Just allow extra time for certain things because of the crowds.

We'll be there August 1, 2 & 3.

We're expecting big crowds, but having a good plan allows you to get a lot done in spite of the crowds. I'm preparing for the worst and hoping to be pleasantly surprised!

And, it sounds like all the extra 50th anniversary activities and upgrades will make it worth spending a little more time waiting in line!
