Dear all,
I could use some good advice or suggestions for my husbands 50th birthday. We are going in April with our two kids aged 12 and 9 and will be staying on IDrive. Thank you in advance

My favorite place for birthday celebrations is Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge....supper is preferred. Be sure and ask for a "FUN server" at checkin. They have done lots of fun stuff for us...including the Hokey Pokey for the birthday boy. Of course, it might have helped alot that my hubby came in wearing a "Everything Tastes Better With Ketchup" t-shirt! LOL

We are celebrating my 50th at California Grill on August 5! I love the food and the view along with the fireworks, so I couldn't think of a place I'd rather be!!! :goodvibes

Yes! Definately let them know at your resort check in and at dinner that you are celebrating his B-day! They most likely will do something special for the birthday guy :) Dont forget the birthday pin at Disney and there are even cute Mouse Ears to buy (My dad turned 60 at Disney two years ago and wore them)! Disney is definately a fun and memorable place to celebrate a birthday...no matter how old you are:)

Thanks CIERA321 for the suggestion, it looks fab. Would the CG be a good choice for a 9 and 11 year old fussy eaters? Thanks

Also take a look at Ohana's at Poly.

The food is fresh - the atmosphere is fun and the service is great!

I celebrated my 50th at WDW last year:cool1:I went with my DD17,and we hit all 4 parks for the major rides, and took pictures in front of each park's major icon. We had dinner at California Grill, then did the Wishes Dessert Buffet, then stayed at MK until 1:00 a.m.:woohoo:
I made t shirts that said I was celebrating my 50th with Mickey :). We slept in the next day,but it was worth it!

Our DS17 has been eating at CG for years and I don't know a more picky eater!!! They have mac n cheese and pizza on the kid's menu. :)
