Internet is really pricey on the ship (any cruise ship) but you will have wave phones that you can take with you to communicate. You can also use a cell phone to access the DCL app (download ahead of time!) and it will allow you to message each other. Not exactly like texting. Sort of a delayed texting.

And you will have to constantly check for messages as it doesnt alert you that you have messages to your phone like a text would. But it is better than typing texts into the wave phone.
