Hey everyone...I'm sorry if this is a repeat question...but I couldn't seem to find the answer! Can someone please tell me if the 50th Anniversary tour is different from the Walk in Walt's tour? I didn't see anything listed about a 50th tour on the DL website. If it is different can someone tell me what it's all about???? Thanks for all your help!! :disrocks:

The 50th tour is "imagination to celebration". It is a different tour. Here is a cut and paste from the email they sent me last fall- for both tours. (the imag. to cele. tour includes either seating for the parade or fireworks depending on what time of day you take the tour).

hlbtimes2-thank you so much for this information. Did you have to book this on the phone before? or did you book it when you arrived in the park??

My husband took the walk in walts tour last month. He was able to book on Saturday for the Sunday tour. I don't know if I would always wait until that late to book it. It worked well for us though, I bought an AP on Saturday. Then walked across to city hall and signed him up for the tour- He got 20% off since I had an ap. Had we done it in advance we would not have been able to use that savings (because I wasnt an ap, not because they dont offer the discount over the phone or anything like that).

We took the walk in Walt's footstep tour last week and loved it. Wear comfortable walking shoes! Instead of the Jungle cruise, we got the Tiki room with a close up look at one of the singing flowers. It was very enjoyable and informative. I did not know that the gallery was Walt' unfinished second apartment.

I've taken both tours (and the Holiday Tour). There is some overlap, but for me they were different enough to warrent going on both--keep in mind, though, I'm a hard-core Disney FANatic! I went on thr 50th tour for the first time last May, around the end of the month. I booked it at the park and although I couldn't get on it the same day, it was open for the following day. The others I booked ahead of time on the phone, just to be sure.
