Would you do lunch or dinner at 50s Prime Time?

We are a group of 18

Going in December. We are skipping Fantasmic so we don't care about a Fantasmic package we just want to see the Osborne lights. :santa:

I assume we will be split up. How many people to a "room"? Would it be easier for the restaurant to accommodate us during lunch?

Thanks!

I eat at 50's whenever there is time available because this one's a must for me. It seems like they fill up fast when I'm trying to book. I've been there for lunch and dinner and I enjoy both. It's always crowded but they should be able to sit your party at close by tables.

We have gone with a group of 20 and they seated us all together in a room at separate tables.

I have only booked dinners here. It's a blast! Get drink at the bar while you wait and then for dessert order a chocolate peanut butter milk shake. Deeeeelish!

Do you have a reservation? Get one now! December is filling up fast.

I would do either. Sometimes we like a big lunch around 1 or 2 and that ends up being the dinner for the adults as well.

You'll have a good time either way. Yes, they will probably split you into two or thee tables.

On our recent trip we ate lunch (had no reservation!). I don't really think it matters whether you do lunch or dinner. It was great. I love the theming...and we had a great waiter (Uncle Tim) who really gets into it. Have your camera ready! Their classic dishes are the meatloaf, pot roast (didn't even need to use a knife - yummy!), and the fried chicken, which is what we got (my daughter got some kind of chicken sandwich. The food was delicious. :thumbsup2

We like to have a nice lunch at 50's (one of our must do's). We are usually there just after RD and have usually done what we want to do by the time of our ADR (my girlfriend gets motion sick pretty easily so we usually skip ToT and I single ride RnR).

We have an 11:30 am ADR for lunch on December 6th. I thought it was kind of early but with our group size that is what we were able to get. We are getting to HS at rope drop so we will have a couple of hours to do park stuff in the morning.

I'm so excited now! The menu looks fun and delicious. Thanks for all the reviews!

I think you picked the very best time! We always try to book around 11:00 or so to beat the big lunch rush and it always works out great for us. :)

This past time we had lunch there one day and dinner another time after Fantasmic and both times were loads of fun. :thumbsup2

I just booked 11:25AM which is around the time my DD likes to eat lunch. I was also looking for reservations for Sci-Fi but nothing's available. Prime Time had many times available. I hope it's good.

18 I can only imagine LAWD

OMG, 18? That's a big party for a meal. I have never actually sat in the restaurant so not sure how you will be placed. I usually eat at the bar as the full menu is available there and I don't need a reservation.

My favorites:

The Onion rings are to die for. . .yum
Pot roast. . .sooo tasty
Chicken Pot Pie. . .my son's absolute favorite

Make sure you stop in to the bar area and say Hi to Dave, Dave, Enzo and Alena. Love the bartenders there. So much fun.

If you could all get into the same "room" I would think this would be an awsome experience. I am guessing that there would be a ton of interaction/harrasment from the wait staff between tables.

Yay! I was going to suggest lunch because they have a few delicious lunch-only options that aren't on the dinner menu (like their tasty chicken pot pie). I've eaten there with a really large group & I think they placed 10 of us at one table & 10 at the neighboring table. HAVE FUN!

I have been there for both lunch and dinner and both were always great experiences, so I would say you should do what's best for your group.
