I am interested in finding a TS restaurant for dinner at HS. If choosing between these two, which would it be at why?

We've never eaten at either and am looking to try something new.

Looking at the ages of your kids I think they'd prefer the atmosphere at Sci-Fi over 50's PT. However, the food at 50's is superior to Sci-Fi and it's alot of fun for the adults. Tough choice - that's why we're going to do both :thumbsup2

We have eaten at both for lunch and love both.

Sci-Fi - it is really fun to sit in the cars and watch those old "scary" old movies. I usually get the chicken cesar salad which is so-so and of course a choc. shake (yum). The kids usually get a burger and I think DH had a burger also.

Prime Time - has comfort food- meatloaf (yum), fried chicken (yum) - last trip I had the chicken pot pie which was yummy - the waitress told son #1 (13 then) he needed a haircut - which he thought was hilarious and they made DH eat his greenbeans - even more hilarious. THe "ribbing" is all in good fun. I just asked DS #1 what he had - he had fried chicken which he loved. Both DH and I had yummy drinks there but can't remember the names - sorry.

I would look at the pictures on wdwinfo website and look up the menus and determine it from there. Both places we usually have a decent meal with a lot of fun.

I think I would choose Prime Time for better food and the fact that your party won't get split up.

I recommend 50s PT! The food was very good. We had a later ADR, were hungry, and tired so we weren't in the mood for "Aunt Donna" who quickly picked up on our mood. After getting appetizers our moods perked up (well, except DD3 who was zonked out) and "Aunt Donna" came back.

Sci-Fi, hmmm...the resturant was cute, but the clips got old. We did not enjoy the food and had a LONG wait even with ADRs. Granted this was dinner and lunch gets better reviews.

We love going to Sci-Fi! We usually get burgers and shakes and they are very good. I think what we like about this place is that it is dark and quiet. When the parks are busy it's a great place to take a break--you don't feel rushed or that the place is crazy. We go there on every trip with take to Disney.
