50's Prime Time or Mama Melrose?

I need to make 1 dinner ressie in HS.....b/c we will be there for Fantasmic. We've never done Fantasmic OR a sit down in HS.

Which one would you choose?

And since I've never seen Fantasmic...can I watch it from either of these restaurants? I'm a Fantasmic NEWBIE!!!

ETA: Or should we do a counter service that night? Is there a really good CS meal you'd recommend if neither of these are very good?!?!

Fantasmic is inside an amphitheatre and can't be seen from outside it. My suggestion, since you want to both eat a TS meal and see F. is to book a Fantasmic dining package and select either lunch or dinner at Mama Melrose. Please note that this is NOT a regular ADR for the restaurant, but one for the F. package! Here's a link to more info:

Bwahahahahah.....see I told you I'm a Fantasmic newbie! I had no idea that it was inside an amphitheater! I've been to Disney so many times in my life and have never been in HS at night! I feel so stupid!
BUT....THANK YOU! This might be a good idea and something to think about!

If we opt not to do this and opt for a CS instead......do you have any good recs?
