50's Prime Time/Garden Grill or Whispering Canyon?

You can see the menus (or least previous versions) of the menus at Allears.net:

50's Prime Time: http://allears.net/menu/menu_ptcd.htm
Garden Grill: http://allears.net/menu/menu_gg.htm
Whispering Canyon: http://allears.net/menu/menu_wc.htm

It's been a long time since I've been to the 50's Prime Time, but I remember it being mostly comfort Americana food. The Garden Grill was pretty good and it's fun to be in a restaurant that slowly rotates. For our last few trips we've always gone to Whispering Canyon because we like the Canyon Skillet and it's a chance to visit WL. In order of preference, I would say Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill, 50's Prime Time.

Also, the 50's Prime Time is themed like you're eating at 'home' so there is the chance that you're waiter/waitress will act like an older relative and remind you to clean your plates, keep your elbows off the table, etc. If you like that sort of interaction, then Prime Time might be a good option.

Garden Grill has characters that come to your table. If you like characters (usually only a few are there, so it's not an overwhelming number) then this a good place to see a few.

Finally, Whispering Canyon can either be frantic or not, depending on where you're sitting. There are a lot of activities that go on in the main dining room, but there is also a 'quiet' area in the far back (it's called the Library) that's pretty removed from the fray.

I've only been to Garden Grill and we're planning to go back! The food was really good!! They had just updated the menu and everything was wonderful!
Just my opinion ;)

We just tried, for the first time, both 50's Prime Time Café and Whispering Canyon. Haven't tried Garden Grill

I didn't care for the loud server interaction at WC (not my cup of tea). They were joking around with customers much more (and louder) than I care for. My husband, however, loved this aspect. The food was fab!!! Some of the best food we have had at WDW, to date. Very sexy food, not at all standard or stodgy. I would put up with the atmosphere again in a heartbeat!

50's the server was much more tame. The menu and food weren't memorable. They weren't bad, just not memorable.

We also like to try resort restaurants in order to see the resorts, but if we are in a park and staying there for a while, we'll go to a park restaurant (like 50's Prime Time).

Let us know what you decide!

I've eaten at all 3 and my ranking:

1. 50's PTC
2. Garden Grill
3. WCC

We are staying at the BC so Garden Grill or 50's would be an easier choice but I think that we may make the trip to Whispering Canyon.

Oh, I just saw Captains Grill and wonder if that would be an even better option.

Thanks

I've eaten at all of them and my 1st choice would be 50's PT and second choice Garden Grill. Captains Grill 3rd and WCC 4th.
