So, tell me how the dinner is? I've only been there for lunch. I love love love :lovestruc the Chicken Pot Pie they serve at lunch. How's the meatloaf for dinner?? DH will probably go with the fried chicken platter.

So what have you had for dinner that's really good? Appetizers, soups, salads, entrees??? Have any pictures??

Thanks,
Mare

The fried chicken is very good. That is what DH and I usually get. DD gets the steak. The onion rings are a good appetizer but we sometimes just deliberately skip the apps because this is the one place I want to save room for a milk shake as a beverage or some other dessert!

Dh and I always order the fried chicken plate....you can request white meat only and you get 2 huge chicken breasts and a wing....way too much food! And of course, the smores for dessert

My wife LOVES the pot roast.
I tried the meatloaf last year.
It wasn't to my liking.
It's not that it was bad, I just didn't care for the combination of ground beef and ground pork.
It definately wasn't what I was used to.
That being said, what I am used to is what I grew up with, and other people love it.

Is it good, fresh Pot Roast :thumbsup2 or yucky Stouffers Pot Roast from a jar like at the Liberty Tree Tavern

It is good. Honstly never had it before until I started eating here. Now I got there recepie and I make a lot durning the winter. Everybody in my house get's crazy when I make it they love it. Beleive me I am a picky eater. It's GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT:thumbsup2

I like meatloaf, but I never thought the meatloaf at this place was that great. It was ok, just not "great". (Give me the meatloaf from Boston Market any day over thiis, and perhaps that gives an idea.)

I liked the fried chicken better.

has anyone been here lately, and can confirm for us, if the fried cheese is currently on the menu or not?

Thanks for mentioning this, I'm a white-meat-only kinda gal :rotfl: Now, I'll have the fried chicken platter :thumbsup2

By the way, loved reading your dining reviews!:surfweb:

I thought the fried chicken was good too. The peanut butter and jelly milkshake was really really good!

Hubby had the fried chicken and I kept picking at it after he finished. I had the salmon and ate everything on my plate (without any threats from "Mom").

This was our first night of our trip and the first time on the dining plan (the version with the appetizers included). I'd remembered everyone saying how it was so much food that I tried to stay on relative the light side. Shrimp cocktail for app and then I had the angel food cake for dessert both were very good, but not unlike the same that I've had elsewhere. Hubby had the same app, but s'mores for dessert and he really enjoyed that. It's the only food pic I took the entire trip.

Yes the fried cheese was still there in July, and the pot roast is so good, and I'm not a pot roast person. It is so tender, with a really good gravey;)

We ate lunch there on August 5th and the fried cheese was not on the menu. I was disappointed because I wanted to try it! Don't know if there are different appetizer selections at dinner though.

I love the Pot Roast there. We had it there last week for the third time and it was delicious! Fried Chicken is also good. Wife got the meatloaf and she liked it. Go with the Pot Roast though!
