For those who have stayed at POP, just wondering which building you prefer, 50's or 70's and why. I am calling soon to double check our reservations and want to note a building preference just in case they are able to oblige.
Any input is appreciated.

50's love Lady and the Tramp....

plus the 50's have a pool - the 70's don't.

Were you pool side or lake side? We want to have a view of the lake. How far of a walk is is from the lake side to get to the pools?

pool side both times - but mother has problem walking

the lake side would be a little further but not far - the lake side is on the back of the building - the pool side is in front - of the building we stayed in.

just depends - on where - few minutes at the most.

I've stayed in both. We prefer '50s, better access to parking lot. We drive ourselves a lot. The lake view is nothing to get excited about. Our view from the '70s this month was a giant red yo-yo, the lake, the bridge with about 6 dead pine trees at the end of it, and the unfinished main bldg of the Legendary Years section. Lovely. :sad2:

50s building you have the bowling pin pool there and our room was closer then some of the 60s preferred rooms and those were 10 dollars more a nite we were in building 1 second floor right in front of the pool by the way the 50s pool was less crowded then the main 60s hippy pool. :cool1:

I guess the main reason I was set on the lake side was pool noise. I have heard different opinions and was wondering how much noise from the pool you actually hear in your room. We have a 5 yr old and I know she would love the pool side but didnt want to hear loud noises until midnight since its over Easter break and will be crowded. One more thing, Lady & Tramp are in 50's building if I'm correct. Which icon is for 70's building?

The 70s have the Mickey Phone and the Big Wheel. The stairwells are 8-track tapes. Our room in the 50s was 4th flr pool view and we did hear the pool noise at night.

My suggestion is definitely 50's as it is close to everything and in building 3 facing the lake you have a great view of epcot illuminations at 9pm every night.

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is looking like 50's lakeside is sounding pretty good
