I was just looking at my Disney Visa statement online and noticed that under the current offers section it now has an offer for 2004 sailings now get a $50onbard credit. I booked through Dreams Unlimited about a week ago can they apply this now? (At the bottom it says on new reservations)

Hope this helps anyone thinking of booking!!!

Have Dreams Unlimited check.

We booked our August 2003 cruise 18 months in advance. We got our Disney Visa in the spring and switched the reservation over to this card and got our credits.

But, that was then...this is now. Have your TA see what they can do.

I tried with my TA because I had charged both the deposit and the balance of the payment on my Disney Visa. The answer came back that they said no - it had to be with the offer code when the initial reservation / deposit was made. Still it can't hurt to ask.

I also booked through DU and used my Disney Visa initially. I got the stateroom credit they were offering and I asked about the $50 credit from Visa and they said no.

Then I read on these Boards that people were getting both DU's credit and the $50 from Visa.

Its one of the problems with these Boards and hearing other people's deals. I know I should be happy with my deal but I don't understand why I am not getting $50 since I paid with my Disney Visa.

There's fine print on the BankOne Disney Visa offer:
<blockquote>Offer must be requested at time of booking for new bookings only. Other discounts do not apply; not combinable with any other offer. The onboard credit is per stateroom for each stateroom paid in full with Disney's Visa® Card and occupied by an adult Cardmember. Any unused portions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Credit good toward merchandise, spa treatments, shore excursions and other onboard activities. Offer subject to change without notice.

Offer made by Disney – Bank One not responsible for offer fulfillment.
</blockquote>
So there's the catch: "Offer must be requested at time of booking for new bookings only."

So, those of us that already have a booking don't qualify -- even if we paid with the Disney Visa. If it's a very recent booking, it might make sense to cancel and rebook -- but only if the price hasn't gone up and the travel agency doesn't impose a cancellation fee. And, I assume there's the risk of losing the specific stateroom assignment in the process.

In my case, that's not an option because the price has gone way up since I booked.

DCL will not let you have more then one stateroom credit no matter if you book new.

We booked on board with our Disney visa card. Took the $200 stateroom credit that DCL was offering. Moved reservation to DU and got a DU rebate.

IF DCL would still allow you to combine credits we would have got the Disney visa credit $50, PLUS the DCL credit of $200, PLUS a credit DU was offering $75, PLUS the rebate DU was offering (at the time we booked was $200),
WOW that would have helped a bunch
So in our case there was 3 different credits that we could pick from and we picked the $200.

I think they stopped allowing credits to be combined in early 2003.

We had this happen on our March 2003 cruise. We had made reservations in mid 2001 when DCL still allowed you to combine credits for our March 2003 cruise and got a great deal. :bounce:
