50% off for AP holders in Jan and MArch

Wow - that's crazy cheap (assuming you can actually get a room).

In fact - it's almost cheap enough to make me re-consider my debate of francillien vs dream when I go next month as I'd probably save the cost difference with ease (even after starting at a more expensive on site hotel rather than an offsite) ;)

Remember you can book a room without an AP provided you buy your AP before you check in. Also UKSTITCH, remember the Dream has lots of other perks like the free apperetif and 20% off merchandise (Francillian does not offer that).

Looks like the exchange rate and economic situation has hit bookings.
Very different from the financial statement I received this morning where Euro Disney SCA reported a profit for 2008 and hotel occupancy of 91% :thumbsup2

Hmmm....we booked last friday for 3 nights at the DC, 29-31 March, using a Dream Pass, and there was no mention of a 50% discount. Better get back on the phone. Thanks for the info Dave.

Nice to see that they have excluded the UK half term !

I called yesterday for a quote at HNY for 3 nights from 15/02 and was advised with my Dream AP discount the price was £621

However if I booked including tickets, it was £592

We will be staying with our booking at the Marriott at €130 per night.

I knew about the extra perks (though they wouldn't help me too much as I'd be using it for short breaks with little spending).

I didn't realise you could book these room only deals without an AP though - I assumed you had to quote your number at booking time so they knew how much money to charge to your card.

lol, spent nearly 40 min on the phone today with DLRP and they couldn't help with this one. They couldn't confirm how much discount I'd had on the booking I made last friday, and no one in reservations had been notified of the 50% offer :upsidedow

In the end I was advised to try calling back at a later date!

Will try again tomorrow....wish me luck!

To be honest, the Marriott is MUCH better than the HNY anyway, and then with your AP just park in the HNY parking lot.

They prefer it that way, but this is what I did in August. I said I had been an AP holder for many years and lapsed on renewing. I stated I would renew before check in and they allowed it.

I totally agree with you, going back to a house is much better than a cramped hotel room but my brother and his family are at the HNY so we thought about it.

Never mind the AP discounts everywhere else make up for it.

We parked at the HNY in October with no problems but at Christmas on the 23/12 and 24/12, the security guards kept saying it was full (despite there being at least 25 spaces) and people were turning round and parking somewhere else. Eventually after a few minutes of explaining that I didn't understand french and his english was very poor he let us in. However on Christmas day and Boxing day, there was a different guard and he let us in with no problems and wished us a Merry Christmas.

Obviously the first one had lost his Disney Magic.

Today's word is, "they can only offer the discount on 'new' bookings/can't revise the other one I made 3 days earlier".

I raised concern that AP holders were being penalised for Reservations staff not knowing what offers are available. It was suggested that the emphasis is on AP holders knowing that the discounts are available, as they're "not offered proactively".

Now I have to write a seperate complaint!

It's times like this that I wonder why I remain such a loyal customer :confused3

I am sorry to here that. And yes they are not proactive, and it is always in French too. I know we have had some fun over the last couple of years trying to get the kids' free APs. I took print outs from the website and when discussing what a great deal it was, a friend of ours in the AP office said, it is great, but they are not allowed to offer it, even if children getting their APs are clearly under 7, the guests have to ask for it. It is quite frustrating.

Wow, thats a bargain price.

Looking at going end of march, and was planning on getting an AP when we were there as we want to go back for halloween, and probably a quick couple of days in the summer. Is there anyway to become an AP holder before we go so I can take advantage of this?

You can do it via the post in advance, but in French. If your French is not that good, then we have in the past called reservations and stated we would be getting an AP. As long as we had the AP in our possession before we checked into the hotel, it has been ok.
