50% off flash sale

Oh dear, 50% off, it was just too tempting so we're off in the middle of July! :rotfl2: I'd looked at a 2 night booking at the Cheyenne and it was just under £700 but we got a 3 day break for £538.50. I've tagged on the train from Ashford at a good price as well so I'll need to find out where to stay overnight - I will be asking some questions....

We haven't told the kids yet - might keep it a secret as long as we can - so they'll know by tomorrow - I can't hold my own water!

I have a 5 year old (today) lying ill on the settee with a tummy bug who will be very happy that he's big enough for BTM and Star Tours and a not quite 7 (will be the week after we go) who can now go on ARARC so we're covering some new ground!

Hope your little one is on the mend soon. Which hotel are you booked in at??? Glad you got a DLP bargain!

Thanks aliscrapper, he's sleeping on and off but not keeping anything down so far :(

We're in the Cheyenne for 3 nights from the 12th July. :thumbsup2

Another one here with a poorly baby - she hasn't been sick (although others at nursery have), but has a high temp and is lethargic and complaining of a sore back which I think is down to aches :worried:.

Strawberryblush - bit ot but have you tried buying that can of Dettol spray you can get (think it's apple scented)? I used to get sick bug after sick bug from my DD1 (who got them a lot), until I discovered this stuff. You literally just spray where you can see - so toilets/handles etc and just leave to settle. It really helped us keep a handle on not spreading it around us all!

Glad to hear you are all doing well with the flash sale - sadly our dates aren't included. In fact, I've never managed to get anything in a flash sale for our trips :confused3!

Oh dear Starwberryblush, hope your DD is better soon. Horrible when these bugs keep going round and Christmas eve is a horrible time for you to have got it. Hope it all clears up soon. :wizard:

The kids have been a few times to Disney but this year, we're hoping to camp down south for a few days then go to Disney via Eurostar for a change. We'd like to keep it as a surprise but we'll see how long we can hold it!

Thanks - Hope your little one feels a lot better soon too. :)

Hope you get great weather if you do decide to camp - Fingers crossed for you!

Hope your little one starts feeling better soon! My little girl started with the temp, belly ache, feeling really tired and sleeping constantly...then started being sick the following day. It's horrible seeing them like that for days!

I haven't used the dettol spray...I'll have to check that out next time i'm shopping. I've been using Zoflora.... i'm so sick of wiping down door handles, light switches, toilets..etc..etc... that's all i seem to be doing lately :( Luckily the rest of the family have only had it once (at Christmas) well apart from my 4 year old she didn't get it...how she escaped it I don't know
My 6 year old little girl seems to get everything going and is the one who always gets everything a lot worse than the rest of the family - I really dread her getting ill because she really gets things bad. Fingers crossed we all escape it this time round too.... I don't want to see anymore sick for the rest of the year at least!

Here is the spray - as you literally spray and walk away it's not so onerous!

My DD1 (just turned 7) was exactly the same - caught everything going but I do think it was partly due to a dairy intolerance - her little system didn't know if it was coming or going! Half the time I couldn't work out if it was a food problem or a genuine sick bug :(. DD2 isn't normally as bad but always seems to suffer from chest infections/colds in the winter! She seems to be picking up a bit, thank goodness!

Let's hope we all get some sleep tonight! :woohoo:

Oh, the joys - lets hope we remain germ free for the summer and our DLRP holidays! :thumbsup2

Thanks..i'm definitely going to check that out next time i'm shopping - save on all the wiping constantly!

I was actually wondering if my little girls was down to food at one point...if she had eaten anything dodgy but with quite a few kids at her school being off with the same thing i'm thinking it must be the bug. She has a packed lunch so I can't even put it down to a problem with school dinners either.
I've never known a bug to keep spreading like this...it's being going on for months in her school - Not good :(

You know I am so paranoid she's going to be ill just before we are due to go away! :scared1: Everything crossed this is the last we see of it... and like you said we are germ free until after the holidays at least!

Thanks all, he's eaten some rich tea biscuits and some decaff tea and it's stayed down, he's now playing with his sister and seems quite happy so letting him be. I took today off work so I could take him out in the afternoon after nursery but he didn't make it poor thing.

I hope your girls feel better soon DLPDreams and Strawberryblush.

I've just been using hand gel but I suppose the spray is a good idea - DW is at the shops just now but probably finished by now. Ah well, next time!

Hoping the weather is good for camping, we'll be camping in the South of England, hopefully not too far from Ashford for the train journey. So much to organise! My passport expired at the end of April so I've renewed that online...

Thanks aliscrapper, he's sleeping on and off but not keeping anything down so far :(

It's horrible when little ones aren't well; hopefully he'll be on the mend soon.

We're in the Cheyenne for 3 nights from the 12th July. :thumbsup2

We stayed at the Cheyenne last year and loved it - just the thing for little boys as this cowboy theming is amazing!:cool1:
