$50 Coupon from DisneyShopping?

I called again yesterday and they said that I should have it and I just checked my email and it is here. The only problem is the exp date is tomorrow. I was told that they would be extending it by at least a week. I just arrived in FL for a week long vacation and I doubt that I will be able to use it while I have an internet connection. I guess I have to call again to ensure that they will honor this past the exp date.
 
Thanks for the phone number! I called and spoke to Shannon in customer service. She said the only thing she could do was to email the e-card deparment and ask them to send out my coupon as soon as possible. She said there was some initial glitch in sending out the coupons and that they were now sending them out. She promised I would receive the coupon and she said that if I received it after the expiration date that I should still be able to use it. I'm hoping that the phone call will prompt some action -- I'll keep you all posted!
 
I just tried to use the coupon code that I just received, and it was only registering as a $25 coupon instead of $50. Guest services said that many coupons had indeed been accidentally sent out with only a $25 value. They adivsed that I should be receiving a new coupon code soon and not to worry about the expiration date.
 
I called again and I was told that they still are having problems sending them out. She said that they are working on the ones where people are calling and complaining first. She also said that they are trying to extend the expiration date but they have not been able to yet.

:sad2: Nope, I don't either -- and today was supposedly the last day to use them. I haven't called to complain, so I guess that's why I haven't gotten mine. I am trying to show patience and understanding! :rolleyes1

no understanding from me, I was told that mine would be hereFriday, it came and went and no fifty to spend. oh well, there is always something to buy. keep posting when people get theirs :crazy:
 
I tried to purchase stuff for $50 off the disney shopping site just now, and it would only take $25 off. I called the number on the site and asked about it, and the guy I spoke to was extremely rude! He said they contracted out the ecards to a third party, and the third party got behind AND decided to send out the $50 in two $25 cards, to be used on seperate purchases. However, the s&h for $25 is $8.50 and the s&h for $50 is $9.50. So now I am in a situation which cannot be won...they sent me only $25, and will send me another $25 when they get around to it, but I leave for my Disney World trip for 10 days tomorrow! And I certainly do not plan to even get near a computer for the next ten days! I tried explaining this to the guy I talked with...he said they would PROBABLY be able to accomodate me with the other $25 when I return, but wouldn't be able to do anything about the double S&H this little "scam" will cost me. So, to redeem my $50 in FREE merchandise I have to spend over $15 in s&h. If I knew this, I probably wouldn't have ordered on this special! So, I just sent them an email letting them know I would first spend the money when I got all $50 at once and it better be good until at least the 30th (which is when I return). We'll see...I'm not holding my breathe.

And, to top things off, the guy on the line told me that he appreciated me calling today (even though he wasn't able to help me at all). When I said that people would probably be offended by that, he said thanks for calling, and have a great day in a really cocky voice! AHHH!!

Anyways, thanks for letting me vent on this situation and I hope everyone else has better luck with this than I did!!!

I think I'm going to send a "real" letter to the company and let them know how displeased I am with the situation. Who knows if they will even read it -- you know, I STILL haven't gotten a coupon. Not even one that doesn't work. :rotfl2:

Anyway, I hope you have a FANTASTIC trip this week! Tell Mickey we'll see him in less than 2 weeks! :)
 
Good news!!! I called again and spoke with a nice customer service rep named Nicole. She said to go ahead and place my order online, then call back with the order number and they would manually deduct the $50. Luckily, after I placed my order, I happened to get Nicole again when I called, so everything went smoothly. Hopefully, I'll have the order in time for our trip!
 
I have emailed twice and called once - still no coupon. The guy said this was a nightmare for them He said give it 'til Tues - if I still don't have it to call back then with a $50 order ready. I am flustered, too because the baby doll I wanted for DD2 is now sold out - ugh!!!!!

I called today, and the guy told me to go ahead and place my order, then click on the "contact us" link to e-mail a request for them to apply my $25 coupon to my order. Well, I did just that so we'll see if it actually works. I'll believe it when I see the credit card bill! :crazy:
 
Still nothing for me :( I am getting SOOOOOOOOO mad! :mad: Anyone else have better luck?
 
I called again today and I was told to place the order online and call and they would credit my card OR I could place the order and they would automaticallt remove the $25 from my total. I never got my coupon on email but just placed a 26.00 order and paid $1.00


*** She said I was lucky to have called because they are only honoring this until tomorrow night. CALL NOW - CALL NOW!!!!
 
I have totally had it and will never be ordering from disneystore.com again.

I placed an order for $101.xx in order to get the $50 gift certificate, and after I ordered I noticed two of my items did not register a 10% coupon I was using. I emailed and got an email back saying they adjusted the order. It brought the order down to $99.xx. So when I got the $25 certificate by email I sent them an email explaining the situation and asking for the $50 even if they had to recharge me the $2. After all it was their fault originally that their coupon didn't work correctly. I got a response saying too bad it was under $100. I then contacted again asking for a supervisor and got nowhere.

I have in the past bought a ton of stuff from them, but no more. I choose to spend my money with companies that actually treat their customers fairly. I spent the $25 I got and will not be buying from them again. It almost sounds like this whole promotion was a big ripoff. How many people do you think didn't get the coupon and never contacted them.
 
MinnieKK- did you get it through email or snail mail? I got a response to my 1st inquiry to guest services and nothing since! I'm gonna start working on my wishlist anyhow!
 
On MINNIEKK's advice, I called the 800 number this morning and they said they were no longer honoring the offer, but as a one time courtesy they would allow me the $50 credit right then. I pulled out my wish list and put together an order for $51.19. I was even able to get matching logo t-shirts for our 1st trip to Disneyland in October.

They said the offer was only through the 26th at midnight but they would make an exception due the record of my several contacts. Meghan helped me, so call 1-800-328-0368 and keep calling until you get Meghan, if no one else will help you! But be prepared to order on the spot!

This is another example of why the DIS Boards are the greatest!! :grouphug:
