My wife and I are DVC members and have been to Disney quite a few times but soon, don't want to give a time as my dear wife also uses these forums also, we are taking a trip for our 5 year anniversary and want to make it extra special. We are staying club level at AKL and have the special sunrise safari tour booked, will soon be setting up a La Nuba show cause she has been wanting to go and see it. My question is if anyone has any other special events or things that might make it even more special. Thank you all for your time

Thanks spiceycat I forgot to mention that we have done the Keys to the kingdom, Behind the seeds, and Undiscovered Future world. The only other thing I've been hearing about that I want to try and look into is an Illuminations boat cruse. Would anyone recommend those?

We've spent many anniversaries at WDW. Two anniversary events especially stick out as special. Last year, for our 30th, we booked dinner at Artist Point and ordered a specialty cake. The whole experience was awesome-from the greeting of the manager when we checked in to be lead to our table with complimentary champagne and personalized menus, etc., etc. I just can't say enough good about it. And for our 24th, we went to the Pick a Pearl place in front of the Y&BC (that one gave a DVC discount) where I picked the ring setting and DH picked the oyster/pearl. Since I hadn't gotten an engagement ring, this was perfect, but a pin, necklace would be just as nice.

DW and I have done DCLs for our 15th, 20th, and 25th anniversaries.

I have no tips as this will be my first time. However, I'm going for my 5th anniversary too so I just wanted to say congrats!

ArielSparrow just wanted to thank you and to congratulate you as well and if it's your first time feel free to pm me and I can give you guys some tips on Disney it's awesome

I have done the Illuminations cruise many times. We did a couple of alone cruises, but normally we share because of the cost. If you can afford it you can get the boat for yourselves and Disney will party up the boat for you at an up charge. We really like the firework cruises.

Again, if you can afford it there is dinner at Albert and Victoria and you can do the chef's table experience. We haven't done this yet, but I think on our next trip we will do it. This is quite expensive.

Having a spa treatment together can be a nice activity. I like afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. Dinner at Narcossee's timed with the MK fireworks is wonderful. You can go to the Grand Floridian and be on the pier for the MK fireworks and that's a close second to going to Narcossee's. You get the same view basically.

Get a photo package deal at one of the deluxe resorts that offer them and get some great pictures together that way. The AKL
has a photo package.

There are so many tours available you can probably find another one you could enjoy.

I really liked the Imagineer luncheon that is offered. Having a meal at Cinderella Castle would be a nice touch, too.

I am not sure if you are just looking for stuff to do at Disney but DH and I are going for our 21st anniversary and I have booked a sunrise hot air balloon ride. http://www.thompsonaire.com/privateflights.htm Depending on the weather they can go over Disney

This is FABULOUS and if you read the website it will ease any fears if you have any Capt Jeff is VERY qualified I went on this a few years ago and I will never ever forget when you reach the point of altitude that you hear NOTHING We also saw wild horses running below us in some areas, I didn't even know we had wild horses here It was truly a beautiful and lifetime memory ! It could be a very romantic and out of the ordinary anniversary experience for you (will pick you up at your resort too)
