Can anyone tell me exactly how many outlets and usb charger there are in a standard garden room? All 5 of us plus MB+s is a lot of charging each night. Need to know if and how many extra charging ports to bring. Thanks!

Battery packs are great in situations like this. Charge a couple while in the parks and then a couple people can use them instead of outlets in the evening.
I don't know about you, but everyone in my family needs to carry that battery IN the parks. That &%$! MDE app sucks up power like there is no tomorrow. We each carry a 10,000mAh power brick to get us through a full 12-hr park day with that app running (and also use it to recharge earbuds & personal cooling fans if needed.)

OP, I suggest you bring two 6-outlet compact travel-sized surge protectors (ours live permanently in our carryon bags so that we also have them handy in airports) plus a multipack of 1-2 ft. shorty cables, plus any dongles to fit whatever charging tips your main cables don't match. This way you can easily plug in several devices on one counter overnight without having to plug things in down near the floor where they are easily forgotten. Charge your phones AND your batteries overnight, and if not everyone carries a battery, also use the shorties to allow 2 phones to share a battery if needed.

PS: just scanned a tour video. It looks like in addition to the outlets servicing the TV, lamp, fridge and coffeemaker, there are 4 outlets in each room that each have 2 A/C sockets + 2 USB-A, plus a double GFCI outlet in the vanity area. So, looks like the bedroom has a total of 8 open A/C sockets plus 8 USB-A. I know that in my 4-person family, we routinely charge about 5 devices each, including phones, tablets, power bricks, personal fans, smartwatches, MagicBands, earbuds, a personal game system, a set of hearing aids, and at least one laptop.

Yeah, no. Not usually a park commando and never a park commando if staying Deluxe- but if I was I’d just buy a couple more batteries to have the room covered. It can be inconvenient/impossible when you have 5 people in one room for everyone to have their phone plugged into an outlet yet within reach in the middle of the night.

If you like watching YT videos, Magical Hijinx always counts up outlets in her room reviews. For the Contemporary room review, starting at 27:00 into the video. she counts 18 regular outlets and 8 usb outlets for charging. If you watch her video, she also shows you the placement of each outlet to see if that works for your needs.

Wow - thank you!!

We always travel with this, hardly takes up any room in luggage. My DDs always need the battery packs for the parks. LOL I always have my work laptop so I can also use that to charge if someone forgets to bring their block.

I was going to suggest something similar. We have something like this and it goes on every trip with me, no matter where we go.

I was just about to recommend her, she has the best room tours around nowadays imo and we really rely on her outlet checks as two tech junkies!

Obviously, to each his own. We mostly don't worry about phones being within arm's reach during the night if the room is at capacity; we're so knackered by the time we get back after a full park day that we tend to just shower and then collapse as soon as everything is plugged in. Also, the only people who we would have to actually get up and run to in the middle of the night are in the room with us. (The kids are young adults now, but they do still stay with us at WDW on many trips. Our parents are deceased.)

One thing to consider, if you buy MagicBands (plus version), they have to be charged every night if you want to take advantage of all the features.

Just don't be me and leave your nice, expensive wall plug in the wall when you check out... I tried and no luck with lost and found, it was white and blended in with the wall a bit so I wouldn't be surprised if it's still there to this day :rotfl:
