5 nights; OKW studio or CSR? Or BC studio?

Booking a sort of last minute trip for me (female in her early 40's, been to Disney many times) and my mom (female in her 70s, hasn't been to Disney since 1984!)
My mom is very active physically (she hiked the Candadian rockies for several weeks last summer!) but has recently been diagnosed with dementia. I'd really like for her to see the Flower and Garden festival at Epcot so we are planning a trip in mid May.

I can get us a Preferred room at CSR for about $1100 total (for this whole post, when I say "total" it is room only, no tickets or dining plan) or a studio at OKW for about $1700 total. The BC studio was $1800, and due to the location very tempting--but I'd rather not deal with a sofa bed.

Obviously the price of CSR is more attractive, but I like the idea of having a regular coffee maker and a little balcony or patio that comes with OKW, also the boat ride to Disney Springs and overall relaxing feel of the resort.

Pools will probably not be a factor in our choice, it's mainly the location of BC that appeals...but I'm not sure it's worth the sofa bed. Which would you choose?

If those are the only 3 choices, I might opt for CSR and then use Minnie Vans for quicker transportation. If I had to choose between OKW and BC, even with the sofa bed, I would probably pick BC just for location. I've slept on the sofa bed (I'm in my late 40's) and it's not terrible. Have you priced out BWI, BWV or regular rooms at YC, BC? You may also want to look at Swan/Dolphin as, even with the resort fee and OOP airport transportation, you can sometimes get a very good deal and that would give you the boat to EP and DHS.

As you can tell from my board name, I almost always recommend OKW. But in your situation I think I'd go with BCV for easy access to Epcot.

I'd also go with BCV if you can book it so you can just take the boat or walk over to Epcot for F&G. BUT, a BCV studio will have one queen bed, one double sleeper sofa and one bunk sized murphy bed. If you didn't share the queen bed, one of you (you I'd suppose) would need to sleep on the sleeper sofa. OKW does have two queen beds and no sleeper sofa, so you'd both have a bed. But most of the buildings do not have elevators so you'd probably want to request a first floor villa.

I booked OKW for my adult daughter and I simply because we each get a bed to ourselves and no one has to sleep on an uncomfortable hide-a-bed.

I would go with BCV. You need to WOW mom. Being she is fit... walking to Epcot AND Studios is awesome.
Walking around the boardwalk is fun.
At night they have entertainment in front of boardwalk... mom might love that.
Happy planning
Kerri

If money isn't an object, I would say BCV and put mom in the bed and I would take the sofa bed, which isn't horrible. In fact, I am the same age as you with a mom the same age and activity abilities. She comes with us each year with our twins, and often has taken the sofa bed herself so she has her own space in a one bedroom layout.

As an aside, CSR isn't bad at all, and actually has Keurigs...just sayin'

I would pick BC, the EPCOT resorts and their proximity to 2 parks can not be beat.
