If you can, try to book "A Private Affair" with Chef Gordon. If it is not available, try to get to an event he is doing during your stay.

Relaxing at the beach house
A Private Affair to celebrate our 10th anniversary
Campfire
Playing pool at Big Murgy's Den
Outlet shopping (okay, me, not DH)
Strolling the grounds
Eating chicken fingers for lunch everyday from Tide Me Over
Going down the main pool slide
Enjoying some of the local restaurants

These are just some of the things we are looking forward to enjoying while at the Hilton Head resort.

I hope everyone headed there over the next couple of weeks has a safe and enjoyable trip!

Why a sleeping pill??

i was joking, sleepless nights !

i think chef gordon gets booked up fast, i think you have to make those ressies well in advance. but i guess it wouldnt hurt to call and check anyways.

i would go for the harbortown and the seafood restr. that was mentioned in another post, and dont forget the pizza place too

Hi Allison, I don't know if it's worth it or not but the Private Affairs gets very high marks on this site. I don't recall reading anyone saying they didn't enjoy it. You can also customize your meal - that's what me and hubby are doing. I booked him about two weeks ago and he had several openings for the week we are going to be there. I think it's expensive for a meal for two people, but you only have an anniversary once a year, right?

Have a great trip and please report on your trip when you get back!

Lisa,

Yes, an anniversary is special. Thanks for letting know about it. Maybe when we go in May!!! I will certain report back.

just got back from hhi today. take warm clothes. it got hot at the pool in the sun but the beach was cool and windy. Also a first for us after years of going to HHI. Go to the early bird dinners at the rest. We got great meals for cheap.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice!!!
