5 mo. out and still got BLT lake-view studio

I wouldn't think it possible, but we were able to get a BLT studio in Jan. that's only 5 months out from now. AWESOME! 20th anniversary getaway w/o kids! We weren't planning on it which is why we just made the ressie at 5 months out but how great! It CAN happen!

We stayed in a ML view last Nov for only one night. It's all I could get. Itw as SUBLIME!!!!! I wasn't able to talk DH into buying there as opposed to AKV which is why we bought AKV. But once he stayed there, just ONE night, he say "you were right and I was wrong. Why did you listen to me?" We didn't get up to the lounge then tho. We'll have to try it this time! Is it the odd rooms again that can have a view of the fireworks? I can't remember. Either view though I'm sure will be tto die-for. I know MK is and I'm SURE lake is too. I've been fighting addonitus for over a year now. Doesn't help that BLT is almost sold out too.

Thanks guys! We're never considered going w/o the kids, but a work opportunity turned up for me so we decided to go for it. I've never been spontaneous about vacation. EVER. It's weird and FUN!

Congrats and Happy 20th Anniversary! Availability is sometimes hard to predict. I was able to book two standard view studios at BLT at 7 months for the second week in March. I was very surprised.

The even # rooms have a chance at a MK view. The LV rooms facing the tennis courts will have a view of the MK fireworks. The LV rooms facing the Marina/Contemporary will have a view of the Epcot fireworks (off in the distance).

Me thinx I'm going to just call and request a higher level room and let the actual room "chips" fall as they may. I fear putting too many "requests" in and looking like one of "those" people that might make the room assigners say "Oh yeah? Take THAT! " And give me a view of a palm tree. Though in Jan, a palm tree BEATS a dead stick tree in the yard surrouinded by 2 feet of snow. I'm sure I'll just be beside myself with our first alone time in almost 13 years!
I fear making any requests but I will.
For my mom's wedding 45 years ago, she was flexible. She just made the mistake of saying "NO YELLOW roses". She didn't care if they were red, pink or white. What did she get? Oh yeah. ALL yellow. And the bouquets were all roses so she got a big smacking of what she didn't want. That's just my inherited luck.

Congratulations! I have found booking in January pretty easy. I booked at the 7 month window and everything was available except what I wanted (BWV-standard studio). I've been waitlisted since the 7 mo. window openned for it. We find January pretty quiet, but cold. Make sure you pack accordingly. This past January was nice. It got up in the high 60s most days and we even relaxed by the pool (didn't get in, except the hot tub). But the sun sure felt good.
