I have been looking for ways to cut our monthly budget down lately. I decided to call dish Network today to see if I could get better pricing on our current package. I was presented with 3 different options, one of which was $55 off for the next 10 months. I took it!! This only took 5 minutes of my time to save a total of $550. Wish I could negotiate with the electric company.

no, I did not have to lock into a new contract. The rep was actually very nice. I just told her that I was looking into ways to cut my monthly budget and wanted to see what was available for me as a current customer before I looked at a different service provider. Never hurts to call and ask.

Will the price return to the previous amount after the 10 months? My DISH bill is outrageous and I would love to knock it down a bit.

Wow, you got a great deal. I called last weekend and the best they could do was $50 off for 5 months. The price will revert back to my previous rate but the rep told me to call back at the end of the 5 months to see what "deals" there may be at that time. I am not under any contract which is nice. My advice for anyone who calls is don't take their first offer because they always come back with a better price after you get the retention dept. Even then, they will give a few offers if you don't like the first one.
